My hopes for next season are just that they're competitive and give me a postseason appearance and something to root for. I don't really expect them to win the Cup. That might sound like loser talk (and maybe it is), but having never experienced a championship from one of my teams, the one title means a whole lot, even if it does mean we might not win one anytime soon. If we're just a 95-100 point team with some exciting young players over the next couple years, I'll be okay with that. It was worth it to me, and I think most Blackhawks fans would feel the same way. There will be a grace period with us. It probably is different in Detroit since you guys are used to winning Cups, but 1 is enough for now in Chicago. Just put a competitive product on the field and I can deal with it. I'm not really expecting more anyways.

Let Miller walk, Sign Modano. The way I look at is that we already have five bottom five forwards. (Helm, Abdelkader, Eaves, Draper, Ritola). Miller has no place here. If a veteran is going to come along for cheap that could help strengthen the top 9, then pull the trigger.

My thoughts exactly. I really like Miller, but he's redundant. We have better players that fill his role.

Life must be pretty good in Red Wing Land if people are bemoaning the possible loss of a bottom pair defenseman... Seriously... there are about a million dudes that could replace Lilja. I like Lilja, but he is not a 'make or break' player by any stretch.

Yes because hear on LFW forums we are all avid followers of hockey. We discuss all aspects of hockey from many NHL teams and European teams. Notice the other threads? I guess that means we are obsessed with the Flyers,Penguins,Panthers,Leafs,Sharks etc.... Last i checked Red Wings fans do not chant "Chicago Sucks" at games we dont even play them or after we win a cup. Funny how you take the time to register on a Red Wings forums so you can talk about how obsessed we are with the Hawks? Irony much? (Cant believe i took the time to write that...Should of just responded with more reverse trolling and sarcasm)

It looks like the Wings will take back the Central Division. Hawks are losing too much of their depth. What's funny is that without injuries Detroit would have been right up there with Chicago in the central...next season, it won't even be close.

I'm hoping for a sign and trade deal with Miller and Meech.
