Maybe it's just me, but Lidstrom's team is serious out-drafting Staal's. Ward was picked too early, Marc Staal was picked too early... Lidstrom has far better defense, and has stacked at center. Lidstrom for the win.

Now that I think about it, I'd just draft the team full of enforcers, and proceed to pummel the s*** out of the All Stars, in front of a horrified Raleigh crowd and a stupefied Bettman. Nothing says Lidstrom is required to choose star players, right?

So, we're back to Ozzie is still good then? Ozzie and Howard were almost identical before they went down. If Howard is bad because of the D, then so is Ozzie.

His highest totals were 20 goals (04-05) and 45 points (99-00). He only cracked 40 points four times in 16 years and he only played all 82 games once. I liked his contributions to the league, but come one, man...

Personally I think we can keep the offensive depth (because who doesn't want offensive depth) while our prospects get seasoned and we can rotate different players when it seems right to switch them for upgrades. As of right now it potentially can be Miller but he has been doing pretty well on the PK so I'm inclined not to worry about it until the deadline and offseason.

This Callahan guy is really making some noise. You had to wonder to yourself, 'How is it that he is the first one among the draftees of 09 that got a contract?' But, man, is he ever showing his colors. In regards to RWC, well said. What really sucks about it is that the staff at RWC who write the scouting reports and the prospect features are of an incredible quality. They do absolutely fantastic work. And, really, I don't mean to say that LGW is such a great place in terms of its forum. To me, it's the best internet Red Wings forum by default. It's like the bar that may be the closest to a college campus that everyone complains about but still frequents because that's simply where the best available party is.
