For someone that ******* NON-STOP about others complaining, you sure do a ton of frickin complaining about other people. Every post I read from you is a ***** fest about something another poster said. Aussie is one of the most knowledgable people here on Red Wings prospects and there's nothing wrong with following Ritola and wanting him to succeed still. Washed up? Dude has been dominating everytime he's set his f***ed up feet on the ice in the SEL the last couple of years. Last time he was in the NHL he almost singlehandedly got the Avs into the playoffs and was a big part of them getting to the 2nd round. In the Olympics 2010 he was one of very few bright spots in the game where Sweden was eliminated against Slovakia. Cash grab? He's been playing for FREE for Modo in the SEL. And by FREE, I mean as in getting payed NO MONEY. Not only a little bit of money. NO. MONEY. Now he has signed a ******* 1 million dollar contract. Guess what, I'm sure he'd play for zero dollars if it was allowed. If this was about money he probably would have saved himself about 10 operations on his foot and just signed for a KHL team or something. He is doing this for himself. Because he loves to play hockey. And maybe a little bit to prove to people like you that he ISN'T washed up and that he still has hockey in him.

f*** the suspension. Next time Pittsburgh plays New York, Boogaard needs to end Cookes career. He has no respect for his fellow players and is only interested in hurting people. Less ideal than having your goalie of the future get injured, and starting a guy with 0 NHL experience because you have no choice? I think Emery completely out of shape might have been a better option. And again, NOONE is upset that Nabby didn't make it to the Wings. It was almost certain that he'd not make it through waivers. The problem is that a team with 0 playoff hopes picked up a 35 year old who was looking to help someone for the playoffs, and then sits around going "I don't understand why he doesn't want to play here."

Nabby at that price is a much better move than either Emery or Smith. He's a proven goaltender at a bargain price. There's a reason Smith went unclaimed, and anyone claiming Emery would have to put him into the lineup immediately, which is less than ideal with a goalie trying to mount a comeback, let alone someone with the history of Emery. Their goalies were injured beforehand, which is why they claimed Nabokov. Dipietro was coming back from injury at the time they grabbed Nabby, but everyone knew it was inevitable he'd get hurt again. I'm surprised how bent out of shape people are over the Nabokov thing. Snow claimed him for a lot of the same reasons Holland wanted him. It was a great deal on a very good goaltender, when the Isles had virtually no healthy goalies. And if the Islanders had passed, I guess you'd all just be mad at the next team who picked him up, because he still had like 25 more teams to clear. There was little to no chance Nabokov was ever going to be a Red Wing.

I'm gonna go outside the box a little and say Bryz. I think he would be money on the Wings anyway.

Cooke is the very definition of "dirty player". It's getting old, he needs to be sitting for a long time.

It's more the path he took to the hit, it was a suicide path and then the action of sticking the leg out when the hit was missed, regardless of the severity of the injury, is NEVER acceptable... that is how knees are blown out...

If i know Holland...and i most certainly dont. I believe the wings will be picking up Brad Stewart, Tomas Holmstrom, Mike Modano, and Chris Osgood from Team Injury and those will be our "trades".

I was more hoping people would post what they would do, not how bad my GM skills are In my assumptions, Lidstrom plays 2 more years Conklin would have been the goalie i'd have picked, and got Matthias or Frolik from FL, but, Ozzy isn't going to retire, so we wouldn't really have room, and I don't think Kenny forces Ozzy to quit before the season is over.
