Red Wing Fans - I wanted to extend an olive branch before the start of the series and wish you the best of luck. I think we're all eagerly waiting to see how it plays itself out. LGW and LGS have been affiliated for several years. Matt S and I published our sites as part of a network for several years with the intent of driving traffic across participating websites. Both our sites are a couple of the oldest on the internet, so I'm glad to see LGW is still going strong. For those that choose to post on LGS, you'll need to register (as is the case here). You'll find the majority of folks on LGS are pretty respectful and good natured, so it's a nice place to talk hockey and get perspective from opposing fans. In any case, I always encourage our regulars to visit LGW AND behave themselves. Most will try and carry their handles over with them, so you'll be able to reconcile folks between sites. If anyone of our regulars gets out of hand here, email me. Douchbaggery here will only incite reciprocation on LGS, and I can tell you that it's a pain in the butt having to deal with such nonsense. I will sanction any one of my regulars who misbehaves here...we all just want to talk hockey! We all look forward to good natured ribbing. It's posts like these that motivate me further to finally start that letsgothrashers.com website that I've been contemplating for years.

The Canucks do have the best goalie, the best defensive forward, the two best offensive forwards and the next Lidstrom on their team this season. Or at least I have heard and read throughout the course of the year, in addition to them having the best post-lockout team, by far. Yeah, that does get annoying.

I would coach them to punch the soft euros in the mouth and start scrums after whistles. I would also coach my goalie to wear very, very large pads.

It was a huge turn off when Canucks fan point to their President Trophy and stat sheet and tell everyone they have the best chance out of anyone else to win Lord Stanley. Then the 3-0 Canucks fans were damn near planning the parade... then when they got blown out a couple of times, the "Flu Theory" arose. Then when they dropped game 6, the 'refs hate Canada', and 'Hawks get to do what they want'. Now that they beat Chicago, the fans are telling us why they are going to roll Nashville... Then when ever someone brings up Loungo stats, they say that series is over and point to his regular season stats. hell, even some guys on HF are even trying to pimp Loungo's winning game stats, while excluding his losing game stats. In short, the Canucks fan base is horrible and I don't want them to ever win a cup. I would much rather Canucks continue to be perinial failures in teh post season, and the owner sells the franchise to some Casino owner in Las Vegas Nevada. That would please me.

Wow, I didn't realize the Pittsburgh announcers are so bad. They are so irritating I have to mute the tv.

How could this guy not be everyone's favorite player? He is simply amazing, on and off the ice.
