Commodore had 2 fights in 20 games with a team he didnt even wanna be on last year, that works out to 8 over a full season, and thats on a team that already has Boll and Dorsett doing alot of that dirty work. With the wings Commie will be the go to guy when it comes to fighting and I expect he will have around 10 next year. He knows the wings want him to be mean, they said it in the interview about the signing. To hold down a spot he'll be fighting. Knowing that a 6'5 mean Canadian has his back will probably let Abby go a little loose too and Ericcson will play with more balls knowing he isnt the only big guy on D who can scrap, trying to earn his paycheque. I think it will be surprising what kind of effect a guy like Commie will have on some of these guys

Man that seems like a harsh punishment for beating up his own garage door...ive beat the crap out of some of my own household appliances and never had to do community service! Feel bad for the guy, from what ive read he was just trying to get some of his stuff out of his own house which he paid for that his ex-wife was still living in...i just dont get what he was being punished for, and for being just his first offense, this seems like alot of service hours. Either they are keeping their mouths shut about stuff that went down, or the court system is doing what it does best when it comes to divorces and completely screwing the men like they always do.

Well considering Mayers was on the team that has beat the wings out 2 years in a row now, Carcillo and O'Donnel have been to the cup finals more recently than any redwings and Montador is a very solid player who is tough and can put up 30 points from the backend. I mean sure you might be one of those guys that has no clue and thinks physicality and meanness have no effect in the playoffs, but I'm not. Was Dallas Drake a washed up has been? As part of the July 4th weekend celebration, my buddies and I along with our families blew up some fireworks (as well as 'sacrificed' a few old toys), had a few drinks and got into some random discussions. We're all hockey junkies and movie buffs and so eventually The Mighty Ducks movies came up in conversation and we wondered what the Mighty Ducks team would look like if those characters were in the NHL today based on their primary strengths/weaknesses. In terms of NHL comparisons, we decided to stick with players currently active in today's game. For example, which NHL player would be most comparable to Adam Banks? We all immediately and unequivocally declared that the most fitting or perhaps ideal comparison would be Sidney Crosby. Steve Stamkos came up a little bit but only as a 2nd option if we felt later on that the Crosby comparison is too ridiculous...

There are 2 types of players. Guys that want more than anything to win the Cup and guys that want to make as much money as possible. Since Wiz signed a big contract with Columbus, he obviously is in the later category. He will enjoy golf in April with his big bucks. His loss, not ours.

I agreed with Eaves then Ericsson. I like Eaves a lot and think that when he gets hot he could be utilized in the top 6 and PP. On the other hand If he walks for a better role/pay check then all the best. With Mursak and Emmerton coming up our bottom 6 is loaded. I wish we could get another sniper, I miss the line combos of the Hossa days.

I think blueadams should be an assistant coach and I also think Eva should be one. Think about it. Lots of useless line combos matching up against our opponents. Plus Jiri Hudler getting 40 minutes of ice time en route to achieving his 80 points.

Eberle certainly gets the nod here. That was, as they said when he scored it, the goal of the year. I love this kid, fell in love with him as many other canadian hockey fans at the juniors when they lost to the states. Eberle had the whole team on his back and will be a great leader for the oilers future as well. The thing that sets Pav apart is that move is equaled at least six other times in that sixty minute game. X number of games he played that season
