I wish they would just leave Dats alone. Everyday theres another interview with him. He is torn up; leave him to grieve in peace rather hash up his thoughts every 6 hours with the same questions.

Exactly. The sport doesn't "need" Crosby and the sport isn't "better" when he's playing. This is the crux of the problem. Crosby is 1 player. Certainly one of the more talented players, but the league is over-marketing him to the extreme. They need to market some of their other stars like Ovechkin, Datsyuk, the Sedins, etc. But that is never going to happen because they are not Canadian.

Team prez says they will not play again this year. That would be tough for a fan as I'd think you'd want to try to carry on some semblance of normality, but IMHO its the right thing to do.

Absolutely incredible. Also, can a mod or the poster edit the topic. There are 2 survivors and I find it uneasy that it states only one at this time.

Back OT, I'm probably in the severe minority here when I say that I don't much care about the sponsorship. This is a business, and one business has decided to give another a lot of money in trade for exposure. I happen to agree with most that the choice of partners was ill conceived, and Amway is a bloodsucking scam... but I'm a discerning customer and can choose to ignore their advances and name drops as well as the next guy. I am disappointed that the red and white powers that be didn't decide on a more reputable partner, but cest la vie. Amway doesn't play hockey. Dasyuk, Lidstrom and Hank do. See you all in the regular season

I'm not sure what people see in Brunnstrom... He didn't even play in the top 6 role in the SEL. Glad he's invited to camp, but I doubt the guy will ever crack the NHL. He's severely overhyped.
