That's called being a prick? Well, I'm glad you didn't read my posts 4 or 5 years ago. I just think you're dead wrong on your outlook towards the fight in the 3rd period. So do most people here apparently. Because he knows he's got immunity. He knows he won't be traded because he's played well in the playoffs before. Basically, he feels like he doesn't have to try every shift. Unlike a guy like Miller, who knows he has to bust his ass to keep his spot on the team.

Can we please do something with Franzen? Fire him up somehow or possibly trade...this guy looks pathetic out there.

People blaming Quincy get over yourselves. The ENTIRE top 2 lines are playing like CRAP. Once again Howard and Nick are our best players while our top 2 lines are terrible. Babcock, that powerplay is GARBAGE... how about using the 3rd line on the powerplay... god knows they deserve it and they might just get something done. On a side note, towards to teh end of the period you coudl tell Hank was really picking up his game trying to get the Wings back in it (notice how he looked better when Franzen was taken off of his line...)

I would lose Hudler for Parise in a heart-beat. And I wouldn't' want Hudler for 5 million, either. But some people act like Hudler is worthless which is clearly not the case. Even if Zetterberg weren't having an off year Hudler would still be 3rd in scoring. Nothing to sneeze at. Until we get someone who is a bona-fide improvement over Hudler (Parise) we need to keep him. Don't trade him for a bottom 6er is basically what I'm saying.

Pathetic period. With that said, it should only be 1-0 because I do not know how the hell there was not a penalty called on the Avs before their 2nd goal... Quincy was CLEARLY tripped! Regardless the Wings level of play was pathetic and unacceptable. For the love of God Babcock CHANGE THE FREAKIN LINES!! Franzen is useless and ever since Hank has been stuck with him he has went back to playing bad. Franzen can play on the 4th line for all I care right now. I want Fil and Hank together with Bert on the top line. Hopefully the Wings can get going in the 2nd and hopefully the refs start doing their jobs.

I know I've never liked Franzen, but now its bordering on hate. He seems non existent. And god do I hope we make some kinda move for some scoring.

That and Franzen is pretty much useless, Bertuzzi only plays as well as he has with Dats and Z isn't showing the spark he has. Cleary doesn't belong on the second line either.

Our top 6 is so sick without pavs

he's definitely better overall than Mule at least in the regular season, but only 5 goals in 29 playoff games for the Hawks

I like a good fight as well as any of you but, since when does one have to win the fight in order to win the game????

This game shows the lack of scoring this team has. Without Pavs they have NO offense. They look lost! We need to trade for a guy like Grabaski who can add a lot to this team... skill, loves to shoot, good at passing and TRIES EVERY SHIFT! Personally I would not mind if Franzen gets benched next game.

To read this forum you'd think everyone hates this team. A majority of the team is mentioned at one time or another as "sucks". Maybe they should trade them all and quit selling pizza! Sheesh, it's one game.

Okay, I haven't watched the last two games and we lost both. I'm watching tonight. We'll win for sure. Hey Z, hey Mule, hey Huds and Cleary and even you, Lids, there's this guy Pavel who is out and I'm expecting YOU to pick up his slack. Get'r done boys!
