Well it should be taken to an appropriately titled thread. It's annoying how every thread turns into some s***show about the goaltending situation or Franzen. I know it's the offseason, but some people here want to discuss things besides the Wings.

Ive been against this idea from the beginning, and now it's one step closer I still find it totally abhorrent. There'll be no real fan base there, and there could be constant links to gambling. And what about the team that lives there? Can you imagine some of the more shadier characters in the league being able to stay out of trouble? It's another desperate attempt by Gary to try and force hockey onto markets it doesn't belong for the sake of expansion fees to fill the pockets of those paying his salary.

I actually kind of miss seeing bryz,he was a character. And for a few days there he looked like a decent goalie too

What is failed to been realized here is, its really not whether or not Mrazek is better than Jimmy (which he is) its the fact that the Red Wings cannot and will not have two goalies on the roster making $5M each after this season...when considering the future and the talent/age of each player, Jimmy will be the one to be dealt, not Petr. ...so anyway, UFA's still be signed, I guess Franson still has a chance!

I'll add to that, 60 miles north of the city is legal prostitution. You can bet, their #1 customers will be NHL players. I know players can get in trouble anywhere, but putting young rich professional athletes in Sin City is an insane idea!

I just hope they get an Elvis impersonator to sing the national anthem.
