Just saying that if he has a crap attitude going back to Juniors then maybe banging Carly turned him into a diva. I get your point and even said back whenever; 'can we send him to Sweden for the year instead of junior?' But alas, the season has already started there and we can't do that. Or can we? Surely SY has some pull with Rogle? No rule says he HAS to play in Brandon.

The Seattle loss really wasnt that bad

Zadina is the same dude he ever was. He's been on the ice for loads of goals against, he's riding an unsustainably high shooting percentage, and his team is losing every night. Handing losers top line minutes without making them earn the ice time is always a bad idea.

This. So let's pray for Vancouver to suck so we can trade for EP while the above prospects have value.

I blame the CHL and that stupid agreement. It's going to kill their league over time... players will opt to go elsewhere to avoid this very situation.

good call. if im Danielson with a 900k contract and inline to make MILLIONS at the NHL level, Im going 75% in Brandon too. The Yzerplan is so flawed in this regard. Getting drafted #8 in the NHL is, or should be, an instant roster spot on the big club. This is the equivalent of graduating high school, getting accepted to Princeton, and then being sent back to high school to take junior year level classes a 2nd time. Any success in Brandon this year is completely meaningless. If he blows out a knee or achilles, it could destroy his life. He is in a zero sum game right now because of the all knowing Yzerman. Stupid management, if you ask me. Even Holland got this one right with big Ras. Same situation handled the RIGHT way.

Cross your fingers for a Vancouver collapse. He's held off signing a new contract with them in order to see how their season goes. If they're trash he's as good as gone and you'd have to think we'd be a top destination for him considering we can afford his salary, we've got tons of trade chips, we're a good team, and we've got about 2,000 Swedes on the roster.

One of the things that goes unrecognized with this team is our fan road support. It's expected with the Red Wings... but with the Lions it's suddenly reached fevor pitch. Detroit has been exporting detroiters since what? 1960? And we still are. Still a declining city. But now these road games are full of hyped up expat detroiters. I mean, look at this board. How many of us actually live in Michigan still? Almost none of us. We have weaponized our expat advantage. I was really enjoying how pissy the packers fans were about us sticking around and celebrating in their arena. Every road game is almost a home game for us now. The Steelers fans used to do this same thing, and turn road games into friendly ones. Now we're in that seat. This league is going to have a meltdown when we defeat the Choofs AGAIN in the superbowl. And like MCDC I will enjoy watching their knee caps get biten off as we come up.
