Hi I'm Brendan Shanahan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the spring of every year, an incident occurs where the Maple Leafs blow their playoff spot with a magnificent collapse.
As the video shows in slow motion, the leafs continue to hand out lengthy contracts to players who to will certainly become a disappointment, and who will disappear when needed most.
Taking into account that the Leafs have a previous history, I have suspended the Leafs from the National Hockey League for 10 seasons.

Smith sweeping that puck right off the goal line behind Howard at the very last second tonight against the Leafs was truly a thing of beauty!!! That kind of heady move is what he is so capable of at his best, and I just hope that he keeps building on that level of play into his habits!

After 73 games:
Datsyuk has played 39 games.
Zetterberg has played 45 games.
Both have been out at the same time for a big chunk of time.
Every player projected to be even a semi-regular center has missed at least 12 games, Andersson is the only one who has played more than 45.
Miller, Quincey, and Kronwall are the only players to have played 70 or more games.
Tatar and Lashoff, along with the three above, are the only players to have missed fewer than 10 games.
Nyquist and Tatar are the two leading goal scorers.
They have dressed 30 skaters and have had 11 rookies dress.
If you had been told those facts at the beginning of the year, haw many games out of the playoffs would you think they'd be right now? I would have figured close to the bottom of the division. Instead, if the season ended today they would be in the playoffs.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty proud of what this team has accomplished, even if it's not what past teams have been able to do.
