This thread is becoming longer than any Red Wings thread on LGW this year.  I hope Tampa can win a game to keep this excitement going. 
On the bright side, if they get swept, the 1995 Red Wings and 2003 Red Wings are officially off the hook for the most embarrassing sweep in history.

I know it all to be true but sweet mother fu k it drives me nuts when Holland basically says the only way to get top four help on D is through the draft and then I lean back in my chair and run through the list of D men he has drafted in this century so far. SMH FML

If a team could just "then start winning", why not skip the "just tank until they were eliminated" part, and "start winning"?...
No bubble team is going to say, "F*** making the playoffs... We're going for that high pick"...

I am pissed that CHI won the 3rd overall pick. Wings picking 6th and falling again sucks as well. 
Just just bummed out on the season in general. The lottery is the cherry on top the cake.

Well the lottery screw job changes everything.  Once again...
So, I guess we forget trades, UFA's, may as well just keep the same team with the healthy vets.
I cannot sit through yet another dump-hole season just to hope for a top pick again.  Whoever we pick at 6 is not going to make the team out of camp. I am 100% convinced that E and Daley will NOT be bought out,so they'll be here, along with Green, and Kronwall will get his year (this doesn't bother me) and We'll see Hronek in GR most the season again.
I am so tired of waiting for an injury to see a more deserving player in Detroit.

I totally agree. We've put up with THREE pie-hole season's for what? None of Rasmussen, Zadina nor whomever we take this year are franchise, generational players, so we get a pretty good prospect at 6 this season and maybe we see him in a few years.  Meanwhile, if Holland doesn't make any trades, buyouts or UFA signing's (from outside the organization) we will be looking at the same BS for another year.  Then for 6-8 months we'll all be riding the tank wave (again) hoping that yet another dumpster season will reward our fans with something.
Like I said, this lottery is BS, Chicago barely off 3 Cups in 6 years should not even be in the top 10, let alone #3.  Devils just picked First two season's ago, they should be disqualified from winning another #1.  Rags and Kings I am fine with, but those other 2 should not be allowed up that high. Ottawa? They should be out of the league, but that is another story.

Most of my picks are seeing the Wings drop 1 to 2 spots as well 
 

I go by rounds I guess... Not really going to jump on a bandwagon. When the Wings aren't in the playoffs, I more so root for teams to lose.

The more I read about Byram, he's the player most I want outside of the top 2. I just feel like we really need a home run hit at D for once and he appears to be the best D in the draft. I was hyped as anyone about getting Zadina, but I felt a small sting about RedWings letting Q.Hughes pass by.
As for the top 2. I am starting to lend in favor of Kakko over Hughes, but I really don't know which is better. I guess I feel safer with Kakko. I would be hyped for either one to be honest.
Another player I am starting to really like a lot is Podkolzin. I think if ( which most will be ) Hughes, Kakko, Cozens, Byram are gone Podkolzin my dark horse. Something about him screams you'll be sorry if you don't pick me if you get the chance between 4-7.
If we fall back to 7, I would be more than happy if we draft any of Cozens, Podkolzin or Byram. Any of them falling in our laps at 7 to me would be like Zadina falling into our laps all over again.
1st-2nd Kakko - Hughes tied
3rd-4th Cozens - Byram tied 
5th - Podkolzin
That would be my rankings right now I think. Can't wait for the draft!
