I'd do it, and I dont think it would be very crazy. Zetterberg is nearing the end of his career and Ekblad is a possible franchise defenseman.

Might as well sign Legwand without trading any assets. Spezza produces slightly more offense but the physical upgrade is not great.

Babcock should have the team look at the powerplays of this series. The defensemen launches rocket one timers on goal every chance they get. It takes forever for any Red Wing defenseman to get a shot off.

We need a legitimate enforcer and a scoring powerforward imo. A powerforward is virtually impossible but I would settle for a skilled hard working guy like Callahan, Dubinsky or Matthias. The latter is perhaps a possibility as he seems to struggle a bit lately.

So much denial here. Howard didn't kill the Wings' chance to win tonight. From the opening faceoff, the Wings never gave themselves a chance.
When you score 2 goals in 3 games and you *aren't* facing elimination in game 4, there's a good chance that your goalie is your series MVP. Not because he's necessarily been lights out, but because everyone has been worse.
And even then, it's not enough. Apparently, there's widespread belief that Howard has to keep track of when his teammates are having, ahh, that time of month. He has to wear the pants on the team.

It's unbelievable that people think the team that's showed up for the first 3 games could legitimately compete for the cup, but for Howard. Whatever makes the loss easier to take, I guess. It's probably better than booze.

Poking the bear and not having an enforcer ? Thats probably the stupidest thing one can do if the Wings are getting involved into the rough stuff this will become a blood bad. Only the Blues, Leafs, Flames ( Lucic wouldn't even look at his gloves with McGrattan in the lineup...)and maybe Kings can afford to go into the rough stuff with the big Bear but for sure not the Wings.
The only chance to get a win against this team is to keep the pedal on the gas by using the youths speed other than that the Bruins aren't having a weakness

Let's give props to one of the heroes of this game: Brendan Smith has gone from goat to freaking anchor. Superior mobility, speed, puck handling...he's finally emerged as someone we can count on.
