SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 My school won this weekend 67-7! I'm not kidding, we did win by 60 points, but it was a layup game against a I-AA team that went 0-11 last year. At least we put them out of their misery in the right way. mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 Ohio State may lose by 30 this weekend. Yesterday was an atrocious display of....I guess you could call that football. I wouldn't worry about that. They were looking ahead for sure. I thought the same thing 2 years ago when Michigan played like crap against Vanderbilt the week before ND (when ND was ranked No. 2). We all know what happened.
Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 I've sinced calmed down over last Saturday's piss poor effort. I'm feeling fairly content and confident, and whatever happens in the Coliseum, happens.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 (edited) Generally there's only 1 game on Saturday I care about. Today there's 2 though. I will be devastated in Michigan loses (which they won't), because I hate ND more than anything in the world. I won't be happy if USC loses, because i went there for 2 years. Apparently Mark Sanchez is better than Brett Favre, Pete Carroll is better than Vince Lombardi, and USC could beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 2 fumbles already, 2 TDs. I'm gonna have to kill myself today.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Killing yourself would hurt a little bit. In other action today, I haven't watched any of this game, but BYU was just beating the snot out of UCLA apparently, up 42-0 at halftime. ECU is in trouble against local school down here, Tulane, down 24-21 with a litte bit left in the 4th qtr. My school TCU had a pretty impressive win against Stanford by 17 points to improve to 3-0 and flirt with making the top-25 if they win over the next week or two. Skiing - Puck 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 I was at the Michigan State game today. I just could not belive the number of fumbles that State had. I don't care that it was raining, the nuber was still way too high. By the way it was anounced at todays game that the Stanley Cup will be in East Lansing for the Notre Dame game. Yeah but the difference is that MSU had 6 fumbles and only lost one. Same cant be said for Michigan. Oh and Michigan just fumbled for the 7th time.

timothy1997 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 Ahhhh its that time again =] From a UofM viewpoint the opening game against Utah is crucial, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost but it the offense is running good then I would say the outlook would be 9-3 August 30 Utah Win September 6 Miami (Ohio) Win September 13 at Notre Dame Win (and thus back into the top 25.....for now) September 27 Wisconsin* Loss October 4 Illinois* (HC) Win October 11 Toledo Win (Top 20 ranking) October 18 at Penn State* Loss October 25 Michigan State* Win (if this game were at S.S. I would go with a loss but I think the game is late enough in the year that the offense should be running smoothly) November 1 at Purdue* ?:?? pm EDT. Win (top 15) November 8 at Minnesota* ?:?? pm EST. Win November 15 Northwestern* Win (top 10) November 22 at Ohio State* (Unfortunatly another loss) This team could surprise some, but if the opener against Utah is an L then I could see ND turning to an L as well going down to 7-5. Wonder if Michigan fans are still this confident.
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 As far as Michigan is concerned, I think you will see all 3 qbs, (threet, sheridan, feagin) play by week 5. Anyone else asking for Feagin to play yet?

BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted September 13, 2008 I am. I'm not being a MSU ******* when I ask this question. But what have you seen out of this UM team that would give you confidence? At least for this season. A loss to Utah. Only scoring 16 and letting a very bad Miami team hang around the entire game. Losing to Jabba the Weiss in an embarrassing fashion. Add in all the talent that UM lost for last year's team, there were what, at least 5 players drafted? Ultimately, I do think that DickRod will be a success in Ann Arbor. But what gives you any confidence for this season?
redwings1914 18 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Wonder if Michigan fans are still this confident. Note the bottom of my prediction, and that is what I am sticking by. 7-5. By the way, Feagin was redshirted.

But what gives you any confidence for this season? It's a completely fair question. And the answer is nothing that I've seen. If I went by that, I'd be calling for a 1-11 season probably. I have, however, seen some very promising drives that I think they can work off of. Basically what it comes down to is optimism to the point of futility. I'll never go into a game thinking my team's going to lose.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 ... Or not. Very good win for Notre Dame. David Bruton is one of the best players in college football. I'm not trying to take away from the win, because they clearly deserved it, but it was FAR from a good win. We saw horrendous football from both teams today, Notre Dame was just quite a bit less bad than Michigan.
Hockeytown Red Wings 245 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Good to see the boys chugged a big case of Choka Cola again. I cant take this s*** anymore. Todd Boeckman equals Scott Mitchell, but with a worse arm and less confidence. It's the same s*** everytime, we're playing well, and then bam, lets f*** it up. I refuse to believe the talent level is that much higher at Florida, LSU, and USC. We just dont make the plays, we have shaky confidence, and once again I'm drinking myself to incoherence. mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Anyone else asking for Feagin to play yet? Feagin is no longer a QB. He is a slot WR. I am happy with Threet's improvement so far, and I hope it's the last I will ever see Sheridan on the field again. What a frustrating game. Not impressed with ND one bit. U-M beat themselves. At least you could see more improvement in many areas, yet many more still to go. I expect MSU to slaughter ND next weekend. As for the Bucknuts....I'll just leave it at that
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2008 Ultimately, I do think that DickRod will be a success in Ann Arbor. But what gives you any confidence for this season? For me there is only one thing, and that is there is youth all over the field. The whole offense returns next season, and probably 85% of it returns another year after that (plus they will be adding a dual threat QB on top of that). So far many of these starting freshmen are improving each week, and thats encouraging. McGuffie has potential to be a Heisman candidate someday.
