BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Actually a former MSU QB, and current assistant coach for Dumbtonio proves your statement is false. Dumbtonio? Really? That's the best you can come up with? Geez, cool your jets. I never said MSU players don't get in trouble or anything like that.

I am actually disappointed. A "Michigan Man" should come up with something better. mannysBETTER3434, this is the time when you should just have let it go rather than opening your trap and responding. You brought up former players and BlakChamber got you back a bit with the Harrison card. Let it go and live to fight another day.
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Of course they do. But they usually get in trouble for the run-of-the-mill college football player stupidity. Not something funny like Harrison. The difference is that when MSU players do something stupid, like mug someone in a parking lot, they get to stay on the team while the legal process is sorted out. Funny or not, Harrison was immediately removed from the team once he was charged. I wonder how the victims feel.

I never said MSU players don't get in trouble or anything like that. What's the difference between Dumbtoio and Dickrod?! They are both stupid. I'm just going along with the jabs. I know every single school has players who are stupid. Heck, MSU, and U-M look like a Christian school compared to PSU. I figured since were talking about Harrison not being able to hold it in we might as well bring up Enos too. I am actually disappointed. I didn't throw a personal attack at anyone. Were just exposing each other's schools flaws, which is what MSU (and OSU fans) do to U-M fans, and vice versa. I didn't say anything to trigger the Harrison comment. I was replying to your MSU youtube video, and was saying how I liked it, and the U-M Big Ten commercial. People in Michigan and on these boards call him Rich Rod. Dick is a nickname for Richard. Hence Dick Rod. Oh and I don't deserve credit for this one. DickRod is no different then John LLLL Smith, LLLLoyd Carr, Dumbtonio, Sneaky Pete, Tre$$el, etc, etc. All are dumb, but you nor I can't lie they can be fun to use. Again when did I 'cross the line'? BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Everyone, un-bunch your panties. Its all in good fun. Michigan is playing the bye this week, correct? I thought one of the reasons D1 couldn't do a playoff system was it would make the season too long. I mean, adding a 12th game, bye weeks, and pushing the national championship back until January 8th certainly don't make the season too long.

SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Anybody watched the college football game last night at all b/w Baylor and Connecticut? I watched some of it and Baylor is looking like they are finally making strides to possibly stop being the Big 12's doormat soon. They almost won on the road against a decent Big East team, and the quarterback that plays for them is only a freshman and people having been pimping him like he's Atlas. That quarterback needs to learn to throw first. His arm strength is impressive, but he missed quite a few receivers and missed them badly.

If teams like GVSU can run playoffs smoothly D1 (or whatever they call it now) can too. With that said though I am against playoffs. I think they should keep the bowls. I'm pretty excited to watch GVSU tonight. Haven't been to any of their games in several years. Edited September 20, 2008 by mannysBETTER3434
timothy1997 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 another great performance by Ringer. Little worried that there offense basically is Ringer and no one else. Passing game has to improve. Really impressed with the defense and the ability for MSU to grind games out. This game and the one last weekend, wouldn't have been won under John L. Michigan State is in position to be a real threat in the Big Ten. They are a physical team, they play tough and with Ringer, can play the ball control game. Next 3 games for MSU should put them in prime position for them to make a run for the Big Ten title. @ Indiana, home against Iowa, and @ Northwestern....if MSU can't beat those teams, there is no way they can contend with OSU, PSU and Wisconsin. GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 (edited) Well, Notre Dame certainly had their chance(s) to win. Turnovers and far too many missed opportunities to overcome. The complete lack of a running game makes me want to puke. However, Clausen was really good again and Golden Tate and Michael Floyd are both terrific receivers. It is disappointing to lose, but I am proud of the effort from the Irish. ND is still a very young team, but the progess being made this season makes the future look promising. Congrats on the win to the MSU fans here. Edited September 20, 2008 by GoWings1905

Congrats on the win to the MSU fans here. The one thing I saw out of ND is that the team has a lot of promise and loaded with sophmores. Interesting to see how this team progresses and how it is next year and the year after when these sophmores are juniors and seniors. In todays game, when Clausen went back to pass...if there was pressure, he went down...if the line held up, he was fine. That probably was the biggest factor of the game. BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted September 21, 2008 Jabba sure isn't living up to his alleged guarantee that he'd never lose to MSU again. Notre Dame is a mystery to me. They definitely had their chances to win the game, but continued to shoot themselves in the foot. Their running game was virtually non-existent. The Irish only had 16, count em, 16 net rushing yards. Take away Jimmy's -31 yards from getting sacked, the ND ground game still only racked up less than 50 yards. Against UM, ND rushed for over 100 and against Cal, MSU gave up over 200 yards on the ground. Another year and this Irish team could be good again. There's some real talent at the WR spot. But they need to improve the offensive line. MSU dominated in the trenches. As far as MSU, Hoyer has got to pick it the f*** up. MSU cannot survive on Ringer alone. He's played amazing, but MSU has to be able to throw the ball. Hoyer has had good, even great games in the past. But this year he just has not looked better than average. Losing Devin Thomas and Kellen Davis hurt. Dell and Cunningham are both talented and are going to be excellent receivers, and Fred Smith is supposed to be good as well. But all of them are young and don't have a lot of experience. Hopefully as the season goes on, Hoyer will be more comfortable with them.
mannysBETTER3434 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) Ringer is a frickin Stud. What he did after the game bringing his OL, and FB's in the interview room was a very classy move. I wonder if he can last the whole season with his work load though. Mike Hart had a 300+ carry season, and was fine the whole time, on the other hand Hart's other season with that many carries he couldn't stay healthy a single game. It will be interesting, because if MSU needs to put their weight on Hoyer I think they are in big trouble. Once again not impressed with ND. I know they are very young still, and have a boat load of 5 star HS players, but it's not even that. Their play calling makes me stratch my head...on both sides of the ball. SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted September 21, 2008 (edited) I only saw bits and pieces of LSU-Auburn game last night b/c my school was on TV at the same time and I always watch them first, but the parts of LSU-Auburn that I did watch were just nuts. Those two never disappoint to bring thrilling matchups every year with defensive slugfests and occasional big plays, and this time was no different. Kudos to LSU for scoring in the last minute to eke out the win on the road. Some cool top-25 tidbits for me at least... In the top-25 now we have, VANDERBILT? In all seriousness, good for them. They played South Carolina a few weeks ago and I watched most of that and they were down and out most game, but made a great rally in the 4th qtr to win. I want to see them make a bowl game finally. And three Mountain West Teams are now in the top-25. BYU is #11, Utah is #17, and TCU is #23/#24, although it won't be surprising if TCU exits after next weekend as they play at Oklahoma. BlakChamber 8 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I'm so glad the Big 10 doesn't do Thursday night game. I absolutely hate them. Actually, I shouldn't say I hate them.
