would anyone here be interested? and if so what would be the cost? ... id personally think if we'd be able to add ott and like prust to the bottom 6 it would give us something we been lacking for years, it all depends on the price obviously as moen is also a ufa

If we strike out with Prust and Moen then yes, but if Eaves comes back healthy there isn't room for both. Ott is a goon that picks on the smallest players on the opposing team.

I'm not super high on him, but he does show signs of decent ability from time to time. I think he'd bolster our toughness a bit.

At the crossroads the Wings are at now, every little improvement will make a difference. I really believe that we either greatly improve our team this off-season or we do nothing and watch everyone else get noticeably better.

Kind of a much douchier/edgier version of Maltby imo. If the price were right, sure. I just wonder if he was a 50 goal scorer in juniors.

Something the Wings don't have is that guy that other teams & other teams fans just loathe. A guy that gets under your skin even before he steps on the ice. I wouldn't mind having Ott as that guy on the Wings at all if the price were right. They could use someone that will get the other team off their game again...like a douchier/edgier Maltby like I said before.

I agree, and on a lighter note, I will now judge people solely on their scale of douchey-ness compared to Kirk Maltby!

i would take ott in a heartbeat. he pisses his opponents off, plays high energy and finishes every single check. he kills penalties, even can play holmstrom like pp role, is solid on faceoffs(55% last year), will stick up for his teammates . he does all of this and more but also has an offensive touch as well... a GREAT 3rd line center/wings who adds quite a few elements this team could really use and havent had recently. just my opinion though.

Ott is the kind of player we need for sure, but because he hasn't moved yet i'm guessing the asking price is to much. If that changes during the summer, I would be very happy if we picked him up.

man that would just be to big a price to pay , it would probably have to be something like a 1st, nyquist,tatar and abdelkader?? and especially seeing as they both have 1 year each left f that !

plus i may be niave but i really like our prospects pool , especially the top 11 on redwingscentral ... only thing id consider moving for the RIGHT deal would be like pulkkinenn and tatar
