I like kicking the tires, here's why:

Everytime there is a Belle Tire anything I imagine their sponsorship is solely there to allow Ken Holland to spend his off hours in their stores kicking all their tires.

Please, tell me which thread I can post in, since every single thread is a Holland bashfest?  Which threads can I even READ which aren't the same old whining.

And every day there will be new threads which will be Holland bashfests, as if a front page full of them isn't enough.

I get it, free agency was a let down, but its only taken 3 days and its already got really, really tedious.

Well, you can take my hockey trivia threads.

They're fun and informative.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

My favorite... all time and probably forever...

"Kids are not the answer"

It just has a ring to it after what Nyquist, Tats and Sheahan showed us weeks later. The irony is still hilarious to me.

I also like

"It's a tough league"

I never heard him use that one.

Interestingly, he said that one right after the kids one.

When Nyquist was in GR and we put Sammy out there for 1 game or something.

ALL OF THEM!

Everything Holland says in trying to explain his job has become laughable.  It makes him seem lost and out-of-touch, even if he really isn't.  (I think he is.)  The "kids/mans league", "hockey store", and not knowing why players aren't coming here really take the cake.

One thing for which I've given Holland a lot of credit is that he trusts his people (assistants, scouts, etc).  He doesn't seem to be one who just does what he wants and leaves the rest of the room shaking their heads.  IMO that's part of being a successful leader.  However, with the gradual exodus of front-office talent, there really isn't anyone to listen to anymore... which helps explain the lack of quality moves, excluding the drafting, of course...

Unfortunately the only thing Holland has been good at lately is vomit inducing platitudes.

To me the "over-ripe" one is like nails on a chalkboard.

Several great ones but his latest if "idk why they're not coming here" just shows how clueless and out of date with the current NHL he is.

Cause Sammy is so manly with his style of play.

Yeah, that one might become my favorite if he keeps using it in the future.

"We like our team."

Nothing reeks of Ken Holland absurdity like this one after he's chased numerous big to bigger names hard and come up empty.

"We went all in" (or something to that effect) after this sequence of events

A) originally drafted guy in the 4th round

B) spent years developing him

C) let him go on waivers with no return

D) trade 1st round draft pick to acquire him back

This might be getting a little heated. Just know I don't hate any of you guys.

That doesn't mean that I respect ideas & opinions. Some ideas & opinions are ridiculous.

In fact, if you confront my ideas & opinions, that will lead to a discussion. (We're on a discussion board after all. Don't forget that!)

No "overripe"?

It's in there.  Not many people have chosen it, though.

"I don't know why they're not coming here" Is that a real quote? That's highly concerning coming from your GM LOL

It's a hard choice but I may have to go against the classic "I like our team" in favor of the "injury deadline". I don't know what's in the water at the Joe but our injuries the past 4-5 seasons have been ridiculous.

Ya. Holland said I don't know why they're not coming here after all the free agents passed us up.
