frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 I like Holmstrom but I think he tops out as a 3rd line center / 2nd line winger... which is great for a 7th round pick. Another steal for sure.well that's basically what most prospects with the exception of Mantha and Larkin might turn into.there is nothing wrong with being a 3 line center he will still make millions of dollars and hopefully can be a net front presence like his dad was. krsmith17 7,191 Report post Posted December 29, 2015 Very confused by that comment frank, no idea what you're getting at there... Are you saying that most of our prospects top out as 3rd liners? Because that would absolutely be false. Also, I didn't say there was anything wrong with Holmstrom becoming a 3rd line center. In fact I said if he were to become such a player, he would be "a steal for sure"...

Homer has no relation to axel. Wasn't sure if you were making a joke but I just wanted to clear it up for others. 1 krsmith17 reacted to this

But if a team can get a solid NHL player it of some later round picks that's still impressive. wish wings had such luck with defenders too

chaps80 1,591 Report post Posted December 31, 2015 Canada's goalie Blackwood just signed a 3 year ETC with the Devils. That kid is going to be good. Big kid at 6'4, 215 lb, tons of skill and promise. Top ranked NA goalie in the 2015 draft. Bit of a hot head though. Was suspended 8 games recently for intent to injure after slashing a player in an OHL game. Jacksoni 418 Report post Posted December 31, 2015 Canada - Sweden playing today, 12.30ET I believe. The Swedes have nothing to play for, as they have already secured the group lead going into the quarter finals. However lots of talent on the ice and should be worth a watch for the interested. And this may be a good time to take a look at nr 2 in Canada, Joe Hicketts, who is signed by the Red Wings. He is small, but he sure got game. Skillwise he'd have a spot in the Wings roster right now, in my opinion.

miksteri 55 Report post Posted January 2, 2016 i dont understand how jake virtanen made it to the canadian team, his only contribution seemed to be providing powerplays to any team that they faced. Taking 2 separate penalties on the same shift takes some effort... 50:33 2 min CAN 18. VIRTANEN Jake Tripping 50:33 2 min CAN 18.
