Bill Berzeench 310 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2016/03/12/red-wings-reportedly-hope-to-get-kronwall-knee-back-by-end-of-season/?ocid=Yahoo&partner=ya5nbcs I think it's a blessing in disguise, but this does leave us needing to call someone up. Russo has earned it. I'd like to see him get a few NHL games.

kliq 3,755 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 Where do you see that he's out until playoffs? The headline says: "Red Wings reportedly hope to get Kronwall (knee) back by end of season" Yahoo is saying this: Niklas Kronwall himself doesn't think his leg injury is all that serious. frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 Thescore is saying he is expected to return before the end of the season, TSN is stating the same. He hasn't looked the Kronwall of old anyways so maybe some rest is what he needs . Chance for Renuff I guess

Heard XO will be called back up on Monday last night, I was hoping to see Jensen or Russo or even Sproul get his shot
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 He hasn't been good because of that knee injury he tried to play through most of the season. This isn't going to help.

I do think he was playing hurt. Admirable but sometimes can be a detriment to the team.

marcaractac 3,960 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 I feel like Russo just has to be the call up here. He has been hot, he's confident, and our pp can use a player like him.
WingsallTheway 383 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 Hmmm so he hurt his OTHER knee. This is bad, I don't think he should be getting top line minutes when he gets back. Fighting through double knee injuries is horrible, I hope he waits to come back until atleast this one is 100%.

matt198913 932 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 Yeah get well Kronner now someone else step up. Obviously the PP will get moved around. Maybe they will finally put a net front presence player like Smith or Sheahan on it.
Jacksoni 418 Report post Posted March 13, 2016 He's been terrible. The PP has dropped dramatically with him back on it. Heard XO will be called back up on Monday last night, I was hoping to see Jensen or Russo or even Sproul get his shot They might pan out but they are untested. This is not the time to start fiddling with the defense. Put frenchy Oulette in who knows the team and has played. And keep his minutes low. The other d-men you mentioned will have to earn their spot and play within the system in the offseason, unless someone else goes down of course.
