I like that part with : "When I have played before, and then Blash told me I was playing good and, the next day, I was scratched. ".

Now, I believe, these nights are the last ones for Jurco in winged jersey.

Anyway, don´t forget he´s Slovak and great buddy of Tatar. To have bigger picture.

Yea no wonder the morale / chemistry is so low when s*** like that is going on. Sounds like Blash is bi-polar.

I don´t want to defend him, but actually I believe he really do understand youngsters development path. In the other hand, he´s obviously struggling with executing his own plan and strategy and/or space he needs for this plan. What´s given by gm in this team.

Well, his north-2-south roster moves, Mantha, AA, this is obviously working, since AA returned from bottom, he´s playing his season top, I mean, also trying to work something in his d-zone and I do expect Mantha to spend like 2-3 games in bottom to get back. But it means he has 2 roster spots to play his own ´making a development´ game with??!?!?

I believe he has to follow some kind of template, like ´one top + one bottom guy is what you can play with, the rest is by default´ or what, is maybe just a fanta sea.

Jurco played a very solid game, good defensively (despite his -2 rating), hard on the forecheck, but alas, he didn't put up any points. And because of this, he will be scratched as soon as Vanek or Larkin come back, despite looking better out there than a handful of other forwards. Because Blashill is a f***ing moron...

I kinda hope he gets moved. Just to see how he does on another team .

I would assume he will end up like most of the other guys that LGW overrated, went elsewhere and did absolutely nothing.

via St. James.  Blash on Jurco:

Quote

“If I were in Jurco’s shoes, I’d love to have 20 games,” Blashill said today. “I get that 100%. I think Jurcs is a good NHL player — that is one of the reasons why my advice has been to be real reticent about giving up on him. I think he’s got lots of ability. He’s a guy who can be a top-three-line player in the NHL.

“I’ve, obviously, chosen other wingers ahead of him in the lineup, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have lots of belief in him.”

"It just means I value defense over offense, and grit over skill..."

Let me guess, this is a preemptive for when Jurco is the healthy scratch next game. If you think he has the skill (you're absolutely right), then give the kid an opportunity to prove himself. It doesn't even need to be 20 games, just give him 10 straight and see what he does with that... Scratch Sheahan for a couple games instead, maybe he will get his head on straight after being abysmal through 47 games...
