At this stage of his career is Kane really THAT MUCH better than Berggren offensively?

Yes. But their trajectories would cross soon.

Kane more than doubled Berggren in points last season while playing in 6 more games. Kane is still probably a 40 to 50 point guy.

You expect Kane to score like that playing a half seasons after coming off major surgery and no training? Optimistic.

Parroting what someone who claims to work in the OHL wrote on HFboards...

>Kane to Detroit has been a slamdunk since august

>Detroit has specifically only carried 12 forwards because of this, and not called up anyone to replace Fabbri because of this (dont want to lose an important prospect to waivers when Kane signs)

>latest leak is most likely Kanes agent seeking to get those last dollars b4 the contract is signed. Leak the last team he played for (NYR) and the hometown team (BUF) to pump his value.

>contract with Detroit will be announced in November and will be for 2-3 years

Its in the trade/rumor section, but i think someone linked to it in the Kane thread on the Detroit board too. Check the last few pages.

I’ve always hated how much I like Pat so seeing him in a Wings jersey - if healthy - would be cool.

Kane wasnt a good fit in NYR. In Detroit he knows he can slide rightttttt into the top line and play with Larkin and Dcat, whom he knows he has great chemistry with. Its too perfect. Anisimov PTO was a gesture to Kane about how serious we are.

Zero problems signing Kane as long as he's not gifted a spot in the top 6.

But if he's healthy and still good he'd earn that spot quickly.

Also any one of Larkin, Compher or Copp should be able to help cover his azz defensively.

I mean... you better believe the appeal for Kane is playing with Dcat and Larkin. That's why he's signing here. He's gonna be awarded top line.

Everyone acting like he's not the same player anymore is kinda totally made up BS pearl clutching. His hip surgery supposedly went remarkably well, and he's been training in Toronto for a month already.

If you think SY has missed the pulse on this, then.. well... i think youre dumb.

He had more points with one leg than everyone else not named Larkin.

Kanedogg is gonna look good in this lineup

Debrincat - Larkin - Kane
Ramussen - Compher - Raymond
Perron - Copp - Sprong
Beggren - Veleno - Fischer

This time last year, every single one of you would have been direct messaging me asking "Perron, Copp, Sprong, Berggren, AND Joegod are in the bottom 6? number9! what is going on?" And I would have told Stephen Yzerman is an insane person on drugs. But here we are.

Fabbri is done. May as well get that LTIR designation ready. If he does come back, I can see him being dealt. I feel bad for him, but he's just a porcelain doll.

Joey V is upping his trade value! He's playing well, but not well enough to break into this top 9. I think he'll be traded this season at some point.

I think Yzerman made great moves this Sumner and its working out better than any one predicted. Even Chiarot is looking better. Holl isn't the albatross everyone said he'd be and Petry seems to be a better 6/7 than Lindstrom was. Ghost, Sprong, Compher, all working out great!

This is a solid and dangerous team from 1-13 and 1-7. Even Reimer is better than anyone expected. Solid 1/2 goalie combo. Will we Lyon soon to see what he's got?

I expect the Kane deal in around 2-3 weeks. The more he sees this team playing like a playoff team, the more he gets excited to play here. Berggers back to GR and Kane in the top line.

As for Holl and Chairot, it's almost as if when you play a player in a position he is suited for, he will strive. The Leafs had Holl in the top 4 because they were so thin on D. It's no surprise to me he struggled there. He is not a top 4 dman.

As far as Veleno goes, he already worked his way into the top 9. He has been centering the third line and has been killing it. If this truly is a breakout year for him, I see zero reason to trade him.

Veleno playing at this level means you can ease Kasper into the lineup on the wing when the time comes. Even Larkin started on the wing in his rookie season.

I'm absolutely gutted for Fabbri though. He is such a good player when healthy, but just cannot stay that way. Though I guess having an often injured player in the lineup does make it easier to ease rookies in.

Also, did anyone else see that the Ras/Compher/Copp line asked to play against the Crosby line vs the Pens? That is some baller s*** and I love it.

Chiarot wrecks shop and im tired of being the only one who says it.

Joe Veleno has 1st line center potential and I need him to be promoted

Fabbri sucks and is g-ay (in a bad way)

Copp and Compher have serious chemistry together. Rasmussen is their weird ass giraffe looking friend who gets to tag along. But Coppher should never be seperated.
