Would anyone take a chance on Ronnie attard? He’s a late bloomer and Gonna be 20 this year but he’s having a great season and we all know dmen take longer to develop , would he be worth the risk with a 3rd rounder or is he more a later pick like 5-7?

Why not?

His name is literally R. Attard. Too many of those already. I'd pass.

Michigan kid. We'll use one of our three 5th round picks on him.

I didn’t even notice he was from Michigan, I was thinking of using one of our three 5ths but just wondering if he’s gonna even be available by then if he’s having such a good season. Franzen was an overage and was drafted at 97

do the the contracts in Grand rapida like Megan mcilrath count towards the 50 contract limit? Cause according to that it’s at 49

id hate to see us to cut ties with turgeon, holmstrom, hicketts, sulak even though there not in the big league and might just be bottom guys just to keep guys like the those Megan mcilrath if they do actually count

guessing good chances Chelios, frk, witkowski, sadowy get axed and hopefully Megan, lashoff, mcilrath

figuring veleno, mcisaac will be signed this off season and possbly our 1st rd pick and chase Pearson so that’s 4

we really Need to cut some deadweight like Daley, ericsson

Any chance pottelberghe signs and comes to North America next year ?

Yes, anyone signed to an NHL contract (one-way or two-way) count toward the 50-man roster limit. That list includes Megan and McIlrath, as well as other 'not really considered prospects', Pope, Sadowy, Elson, Puempel, Terry, Chelios and Lashoff. We're currently at 47/50.

McIsaac is already under contract, but yes Veleno will need to be signed this summer.

I don't think Van Pottelberghe comes over. From everything I've heard and read, he has no interest in playing in North America and is content to stay in Switzerland. No big loss. I would say Larsson, Eliasson and Petruzzelli are all ahead of him anyway.

47 minus zetterberg and mule? Doesn’t technically count?guess I’m surprised some of the above guys mentioned count cause I seen guys like Matthew ford,Campbell, shine in Grand Rapids so I don’t know we would have them count towards our 50 unless it’s for the case we get 3-5 guys hurt up front during the year and need to call up puempel etc...

i just rechecked, my bad must of missed seeing mcisaac locked up

ya I agree those 3 goalies would be ahead but I suspected none would be close to Grand Rapids and saw pottelberghe was older , I remember him having some upside a year or two ago sucks he has no interest in North America, it’s too bad we can’t know these things prior to draft day but oh well

this article says otherwise ... he still plans to come up and try and be a redwing which is good news , more goalies the better chances we can get a few of them to pan out

seen this , he got demoted this year but has put up good numbers , the article says at the bottom there’s plenty of room in Grand Rapids next season for him and I’d much rather have him next year than rybar and sateri

hes still 21 and goalies tend to take longer to develop and has the size and skill and I think we should sign him to 2 years and see what happens

So what are the chances we go into next season with all Bert,AA and mantha as rfa’s or should we try and extending these guys and trying to get bargain deals longterm? Only one I can see this happening with is bertuzzi

AA I think would play hardball and bet on himself having a big year next season and have a feeling mantha would as well

Bert for 5-6 yrs x 4 I think he’d do it ... think he’s good for 40-50 a yr and brings a lot of intangibles

Would anyone trade Rasmussen for Quin Hughes?

Only if they so threw in McDavid and retained 50% of his cap hit.

How many more call ups do the redwings have for this season from Grand Rapids? Trying to see if we might get looks at turgeon, holmstrom etc ... before the year seeing as they’ll be rfa’s

I think after the deadline teams get four callups, not counting any "emergency callups."
