Raymond got after it this summer. Saw one pic of him with Seider, and boom. If Yzerman ever pulls his head out and gets a good strength coach, this team could be beastly. Adding 10 lbs of muscle per player in 2 offseasons is basically like giving the team another roster spot. It's not just 23 guys that are harder to play against. It's 23 guys that dont get injured as often, and it's 23 guys that injure the opponent more often. Why is there only the goalie in the weight room training by himself? Yzerman literally completely overhauled the team's strength and conditioning department when he came in as GM because it was so out of date from the Holland era. Great conditioning is not gonna turn a roster into a squad of fighting goons. Also, every team deals with countless injuries every season. It's not exclusive to Detroit. Look at the chart since 2009 (with a bunch of Holland-era seasons included) vs. the chart from last season up until March 10th. Detroit is middle of the pack.
