I meant WJC

He also led the czech league in goals scored last year, and was 2nd in the league in points. And continued with 5 goals and 7 pts in 9 playoff games. 

Seems to be a goal scorer with fast legs. Maybe an AA type?

I dont know but I doubt this kid factors in to Detroit seems more of a minor league signing to replenish gr after losing 2-3 of Berggren, Kasper, Mazur, Hirose, Aston-Reese, Czarnik, Luff, etc.

My bad, the way Kuflan wrote the article I was reading made it sound like this years WJC, but he was talking about the 2021 WJC and this years EHT tournament, which he just called "international", so I assumed he meant worlds. Not even sure what EHT is.

Doubtful he ever plays for detroit. I'm just saying stats suggest hes a goal scorer, and he's often described as fast. Hence "AA type"

Id like this pickup for us. Cheap reliable backup goalie. Can step in if Lyon or Husso falter.

How do you feel about Reimer?  I feel like he had a killer season last year, tbh.  I was fully expecting to see him get whipped to death on these boards, despite being the guy that needed to come in every 6th or 7th game and give us a win in a back to back with the team in front of him playing tired.  But I can't recall too many nights where he totally shat the bed and gave us a poor effort.  The Toronto win at the end of the year is sticking out in my mind as a representation of what he gave us 3 out of every 4 games he played.  I think if he's available at 1 Mil for the year, the SCAM would be wise to bring him back.

Try and draft Berkley Catton if we can.

Bring Matt Roy home for the 2nd pairing RHD at 6 x $6,000,000 he's solid on the PK.

If Patrick Kane walks try and add a solid 2nd line RW in free agency or trade.

Sign Seider for 8 x $8,700,000 and Raymond for 8 x $8,000,000.

Buyout Holl and possibly Husso sign a cheap backup for 2 years or so.

Trade both Fabbri and Maatta and sign a few cheap backup depth players.

Use savings to re-sign Kane, Perron, and Fischer at 10 million.

Bring up Kasper, Edvinsson, and either Mazur or Soderblom. 3 roster spots, less than 3 million spent.

Leaves 21 million (if my math is right) to re-sign RFAs: Seider. Raymond. Veleno, Berggren, Johansson

2024 roster:

1st F line: DeBrincat-Larkin-Kane

2nd F line: Fabbri/Berggren-Compher-Ray

3rd F line: Rasmussen-Copp-Fischer/Perron

Thats a bad trade to get rid of a bad contract and Chiarot isnt even a bad contract. Regardless what people online say Chias a good bottom 4 dman. Yzerman likes him Lalonde likes him and hes well liked in the room. Hes not going anywhere but if Y did decide to move him he could easily retain and get an asset not give up an asset. 

So you want to run it back with basically the same team with somehow a worse d and pay a premium to get rid of a dmen that is better then 4 other dmen on the team.

Husso when healthy is way better then Reimer.

I'd only consider a move down to trade Copp not Chiarot.  Copp is an anchor, Chiarot is serviceable.

I would be ok with that. I only need to shed the payroll to make it work. Copp's 3 years at 5.6 per would be harder to trade. I only chose Chiarot because he would give the biggest cap relief out of Holl, Petry, and Maatta.
