Ozzie has what it takes to be a good color commentator in his post-retirement years. Keen insight, knows the game inside-out, good sense of humour and a good voice.

A friend of mine sent me a text today with a bit of a poem regarding his team, the Flames. In response, I created this poem and figured you folks would enjoy it. Lemieux's message may be true, but he went about it in a pretty brain dead way. It's obvious he doesn't care about the state of NHL hockey (as he colleagues have already said regarding his absence from meetings) until it affects his team. It's not "we need to do this to improve the game," it's "my team got punked so down with this sort of thing."

Franzen-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Hudler-Datsyuk-Cleary Modano-Filppula-Holmstrom Abdelkader/Miller-Helm-Eaves Draper Thoughts? We know that the top two lines work well, and the fourth, but what about the third? I think it'd be a good way to salvage Homer on a scoring line without taking Cleary out of the top 6...as opposed to turning the 4th line into a complete waste (as we're now doing with Miller-Abby-Homer, goal tonight aside). Much depends on how Modano would do on the wing I guess.
