Also, said fan is expressing said pissedoffness on a Red Wings message board, and is taking issue with Red Wings fans on said Red Wings message board for not also believing said Red Wings player should have been suspended as well? This is what I am saying. I am not saying do not celebrate your accomplishment, but all the staged antics and dances are annoying. Hey, let's pretend I am fishing after I make a tackle, let's do a salute (albeit a incorrect and almost pansy looking one) after I score a goal. I do not mind the pure excitement and celebration, but when a player in any sport does the same thing over and over (discount double check) it's like look at me, I am bigger than the game! Just freaking score and jump for excitement, don't put on the monkey act.

Need to get some of the Southern or Western teams involved. They'll never be able to host, and having these teams that will *never* be able to participate has the potential to alienate their fans. Maybe DET/DAL, DET/SJS, or DET LAK. That might be entertaining, and you know the 24/7 will be good.

Isn't that all they do in Toronto anyway? The first time I ever went to Toronto there was a picture of Eric Lindros playing in a Leafs jersey on the front of the Toronto Sun...except he had never and was not playing for them at that point. Toronto is Eklund of hockey cities.

When I saw it, I thought it was a dig at Jagr, who did his old salute celebration just a few days ago in Pittsburgh when he scored on Rupp's former teammates.

I thought it was hilarious. It was probably directed more towards Philly. I'm sure it wasn't thought out but a spur of the moment thing haha.

Yeah it's weird, the last few games he's still played really well, and he's had some quality scoring chances (1 against Rinne in close, and 2 last night on one shift in the 3rd) but nothing to show for it. Funny how hockey works sometimes.
