I was just looking at the schedule for the Red Wings today, and I noticed that the Wings play the Canadiens on Wednesday the 25th. This game also is to be broadcasted on NBCSN, which got me thinking. After every episode of NHL 36 that has aired so far (on Wednesdays), they cut to the game that night, which includes the player that was featured in that weeks episode. And since we know about NBC and Canadian teams, I have a pretty good feeling that it will be a Red Wing player on the show that week. The question is, if it is a Red Wing player, who would it be?

What do you guys think about this? I just saw that Boston is willing to give up a 1st round pick at the deadline. For a while now there has been talk about them being active at the deadline. Same goes for the NYR and Chicago and they currently sit atop the conference standings right now. So it looks like the best teams in the game right now are not content with where they are at; they are looking to get even better! GRANTED, we haven't had the type of cash we have now at the deadline in what seems like forever. So based on what we are seeing other teams do, would you guys be disappointed if Kenny doesn't do something somewhat significant at the deadline? This is basically the same team that has lost the last two years and a Chicago with a healthy Sharp is pretty good.

Not going to happen, if Crosby trade talks even hit the market then no team would take the risk because if the Penguins give up on him then he will most likely never be the same therefore has no value, unless a team just completely rolls the dice thinking they know more than the organization that's been through the whole injury with the player in question. If you want to be proud of having the capability of being gaining self fulfillment from the suffering of someone you have never met's misfortune of having his entire career in the balance because of a life altering injury then be my guest. But, I'd like to think our fan base can do better that's all.
