Hey! With the new realignment, we might beat them in the SCF instead of the WCF! Wouldn't that be even more fun!

    The Trade at 25.

It's hard to believe that it's been twenty-five years! Starting this Monday, TSN will devote the week to "SportsCentre Presents: The Trade at 25". The link leads you to the upcoming programming, with an overview of what's in store on each day. This was easily one of the biggest NHL stories to ever happen. It changed the landscape, from both the player's and the owner's view, the way the "business" is run, for better or worse. Have your Kleenex ready.

Whoa. This is so true. No worries, though. That little factoid won't register in their fans' heads. Until you brought it up, it didn't even register in mine. Although you have a point about the 2010 cup- water breaking a drought is rather poetic, isn't it?

You know, if they were selling the ice when they won a couple of years ago, I'd kinda understand it, what with breaking the Cup drought. If they were selling ice that they actually won the Cup on, I'd kinda sorta understand that. This is nothing other than end-of-season ice.

I think not being captain and focusing on his game could very well have been the main reason for him to leave Ottawa.

While Jagr's loyalty is obviously in question, by this point in his career his preparation and work ethic has been well established. As for Ovie, he's an extreme talent, but unless he changes his attitude I'd be amazed if he's still competitive at 41 yrs old.

    Jobs

I've tried a couple, most are rip offs. Examiner.com pays though, but it's mostly driven by page views and there are rules to keep people from gaming the system to drive them up. When I was off with a back injury I ended up with about $50 a month there.

I think it goes without saying that it all depends on if the dude deserved to get beat with a shoe. I'm going on the premise that the shoe beating was justifiable. Sometimes... people deserve to get hit with a shoe. Spare the rod...
