    Pray for Pekka Rinne

Best of luck to him. No matter what colours we wear, at the end of the day, we're all people.

Ya'll guys please say a prayer for Pekka Rinne He has a very dangerous bacterial infection in his hip that he had surgery on back in may,This type of infection is very dangerous and it can derogate the joint inside the hip if it is not fully eliminated

Moulson with two goals tonight in his first game as a Sabre, looks like he can score without Tavares!

The irony is that whenever he "kicks the tires" on a trade deal, the other team is always asking too high a price involving prospects. So Holland clearly values the Wing's prospects, just not enough to actually play them.

    What's Killing Our Offense?

Pretty sure he was just listing the whole top nine, because his point sort of calls for it. And he's right - they're very deep up front. And their blue line is pretty solid. They're a team that's built to win the Cup. No significant holes. Our top nine could potentially be among the best in the league, if things come together the right way and a few planets align and the Hockey Gods shine upon us.

    Pray for Pekka Rinne

Let's hope they caught it early and find the right treatment for him. I am sort of fond of Peckerini (my nickname for him). Get well soon, Pekka!!

It is just hockey, people are free to be as passionate or flippant about their entertainment choices as they please.

I cannot stress how much I disagree with this. Who are you to tell other fans how to cheer, support, or follow their favorite team? To use the words from your previous post, "we as humans" need to stay the heck out of other people's business and let them live their own lives. Go Wings! I'll root for them however I like. Feel free to do the same.

As of right now we're far too close to the cap to consider it. The savings we would get from his over-35 contract would be minimal and barely enough to even have somebody replace him on the roster.

I'm so irritated with the Wings' recent performances that I'm sitting here thinking of the most insane possible ways to improve the team. Not Dan Cleary to the first line insane, but insane none the less. When you start thinking that unproven prospects couldn't possibly be worse than your established roster, things have gone badly.

Good lord. In a sick way I kind of want to see them play together just to see the most overpaid 4th line in hockey.

People are dreaming if they think Sammy is going anywhere. He's 37 soon and more than likely in his last year with a no-trade clause. If you were Sammy would you rather....contend for the cup one last time with a playoff team and make a run with a bunch of fellow countrymen...or...Accept to got to the worst team in the league...

That's horrible, hope he recovers. I'll be praying. I just wished there was something I could do to actually help...

Will do on this. I'm hoping for the best for Rinne and his family!

I just saw this on MLive, and thought "oh, so it CAN get worse". While its only practice at this point, with Franzen out and Babcock's history, is there any reason to believe Cleary and Abdelkader won't be in the Top 6? I can only hope Miller plays in place of Samuelsson, both to improve our lineup and to prevent us from being a laughing stock with $8M worth of cap on the 4th line. Also glad we are pairing our defensemen like a playoff bracket 1-6 (Kronwall-Smith), 2-5 (DeKeyser-Quincey), 3-4 (Kindl-Lashoff) in an effort to prevent catastrophic turnovers within your bottom pairs (only half sarcastic, unfortuntely).

Wings won't give up Mrazek for Moulson

I'll respond to the general question by saying, "Sure, why not". I don't have an opinion on the proposed trade yet because we don't know what BUF will look like in January yet, even though they'll probably be sellers. For all we know, BUF uses that abundance of cap room to overpay Moulson, and he extends there making this a moot point. That probably WON'T happen, but we don't know. Hypothetical trades like that one presume that teams with cap room want to spend it on all the overpriced crap we have and want to get a rid of. BUF was smart enough to get a 1st and a 2nd without even losing much production for the remainder of the year. Sammy, Eaves, and Tootoo are not players that do anything for BUF. Of course, if the Wings were to trade a decent prospect, then yes, that's always on the table. I wonder if signing Ville Leino, however, has them feeling a little burned (even though he went through PHI). My concern about signing Moulson is that it's kind of like doing a more extreme version of the Franzen deal all over again. I don't know anything about Moulson's defensive game, but I'd have to think we're looking at a $6 million AAV player on the open market, at least. Does he keep up this scoring for several years, or is he Mark Parrish? People bemoan the Franzen contract, maybe unfairly so, but that's a $3.9 mil. AAV deal.

The most annoying things about being at games?

paying money to see a team that looks like they just don't care

I live in Columbus and have family in Toledo so I have a chance to go to many CBJ games and a few DRW games a year. I don't know about you guys, but when I end up going to games its because I wanted to go and made a decision to go. I love hockey so I always enjoy myself and don't really care if the guy next to me is doing a crossword puzzle or some vapid businessman not there for hockey, I am going to have a good time because there is hockey being played. Hockey games aren't the only place I have ever been where people lack self-awarness, I don't know about you guys. Shame on people for being so bitter about little things, and if I had good seats and an empty seat and someone wanted my extra I would most certainly give it up and not worry if my coat has a good seat. I can see getting upset if you have children and people around you are being belligerent but even than, you know you're going to a place where they serve alcohol. ENJOY THE GAME PEOPLE!!

Seriously. How hard is that? They even say it multiple times at the Joe during games. They should include, "We grant the fans permission to smack you if you break this rule."

Totally agree - especially with the rise of HD TV. I'm 6'4, with a bad back (thank you, hockey). Sounds like the seats alone would ruin it for me.

    Brendan Smith

Ericsson and Kindl were both like that. We knew that they had potential, but it was hard to see beyond flashes here and there. I'm not ready to punt on Smith yet. I also don't want him playing big minutes yet. Hopefully he'll have a good season in the not-too-distant future and come around.
