Those guys are all former Wings. Also, Tatar getting a noise complaint is nothing like Neal trying to turn guys noggins into overripe melons with a side of scrambled eggs. Just saying’. I fuss by now you can tell that I want no part of Neal on the Red Wings.

Miller has been overrated most of his career. His greatest team successes came when Buffalo was scoring a ton of goals in front of him. At this point, he's a washed up player, like he showed in the playoffs.

Nothing he said was inaccurate. He said the Wings future was full of potential...Not full of NHL 1st liners. Just because they have potential doesn't mean they will all reach it. Right now the Wings prospect pool is ranked 3rd in the NHL, not bad for a team that has picked in the top 20 only twice in the past couple decades.

Some of Guelph's sportswriters think that Bertuzzi is the MVP of that team despite not being near the lead in scoring. He missed a large portion of the year, both regular season and playoffs with injuries but still manages to put up PPG numbers playing on the 3rd and 4th lines. He also gets no PP time and kills penalties, even taking faceoffs in certain situations. Do I think he'll be as good as Mantha...No, but could he? yes.

Can't win a shootout if you don't score. We were far worse shooting than stopping in shootouts this season.

I'm not saying he isn't a great goalie. I'm just saying great goalies can only get you so far. The fact that "the king" has only gotten past the second round for the second time now just goes to show that even if we had the best goalie in the league we wouldn't fare any better in the playoffs if we can't defend properly or score more

I don't know why people keep throwing these big names out there for possible trades. The chances that Holland trades picks and prospects for a big name instead of trying to sign people for free after July 1st is slim to none. The only way he would trade for a Neal, or any other comparable player would be if a deal fell in his lap he couldn't refuse and that doesn't happen in the NHL anymore. We will try to sign a few free agents and maybe make a small minor trade or two but I don't see any blockbuster trades in our future.

I'm not sure how I feel about Sheahan being top 5 and Sproul nowhere on the list. Still, this previous season proved just how much talent we have waiting to emerge, a lot of these guys we wouldn't have even seen had it not been for chronic injuries. The future is bright, I hope it comes sooner than later.

Neal is a very productive player and has the size too. However, we shouldn't be moving assets for wingers when we have an abundance of young wingers and Mantha on the way. We should actually be moving winger(s) for a future top 6 C. We just don't need Neal enough to cough up the assets for him (apparently they want multiple wingers for Crosby and Malkin). I WOULD however like to buy low on Letang if they are selling. Letang is the type of high end RD that we need and could come at a discount due to recent health problems and the need for change in Pitts - perfect storm for us. I don't buy the concern for the future that Letang may suffer more strokes because he will be monitored closely for the rest of his life and his stroke came from a PFO and not a clotting disorder or something genetic. All of his other risk factors for stroke such as cholesterol, lipids, bp, blood sugar etc will be lower than the average person as he is an athlete.

People complain to complain. Where I used to live in an apartment a lady complained because my alarm clock went off at 5AM, and I had to be at work at 6AM. s***, I would have went next door and partied with Tatar if I was them.

Yan Golubovsky had pretty high potential too. Then our 10th round pick from that year turned out to be way better and the best net front forward in the league. I think it's insulting to write off a player just bc u have some perceived idea that his potential is lower bc he's not Daigle hyped.

I remember a certain RichDG whining and moaning about our 2013 draft selections. I'm beyond giddy that about 5 of those 8 are already showing stellar promise. When is Axe coming back?
