yeah, Lost Acapulco uses Lucha Libre masks as their gimmick. *edit: thinking about it, they also use part of the soundtracks from Lucha Libre movies from the 60's in their songs. Especially from "El Santo" movies. -

Grand Rapids are off to a rough start once again this season, but beat Milwaukee 6-3 last night. I managed to watch most of the game, and was impressed with some of the young players, Turgeon in particular. He scored a goal and added an assist last night, and looked good at both ends of the ice. He now has 9 points (5 goals, 4 assists) in 10 games so far this season. I've always thought he would be a great 4th line NHL center, but maybe he becomes a good 3rd line center; what we hoped for from Sheahan, both offensively and defensively. Holmstrom and Svechnikov looked good as well, although Svech has really struggled so far this season to find the score sheet, with only 1 goal in his first 6 games. He got into a scrap last night too. You can really tell he's getting frustrated out there. Hopefully he works through it. Holmstrom has 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 8 games so far this season. Bertuzzi should be back soon (possibly this weekend), so that should provide a spark to the offense. The blueline looks very mobile with Hicketts, Hronek and Saarijarvi back there. Hopefully they continue to roll here now that they're starting to get healthy / key players into the lineup. -
1 pointBest of luck to us! I don't like that Stone figure in Sens lineup. He has an annoying tendency to be at the right spot at the right time. And Karlsson is simply dangerous, always creates chances. My gut feeling tells me we have a chance, albeit a low one. Will enjoy this one fer sure.

1 pointWhy? Jensen has been good. Not great, but good, and we can use as many good defensemen as we can get...

It takes 24 hours for him to clear, they need to put him through every 30 days (or something like that) so he can be sent down immediately if they need to recall someone else. -

Is there any other logical reason to waive a player at this point? Serious question. I'm not sure... I'd like to call up Hicketts if he's going to play, but that would mean another player is banged up (haven't heard anything), and they're going to play him over Witkowski... I just don't see it happening... -

OK. Prepared to eat crow. I didn't like the 'tude, wanted you traded (still do for a good, young dman). I called you a one dimensional 3rd liner. Prove me wrong AA, I dare you. BTW, why is Blashill putting his 2 fastest skaters on the same line? If it works, that's great. But when you have that kind of speed, why not spread it out? -

Nielsen hasn't been great by any stretch, but what can we expect when he's played all season between Helm and Abdelkader (Frk for a short time)? He does have 4 goals, which is tied with Zetterberg and Nyquist for 2nd on the team. The assists aren't there because he doesn't really have anyone to pass to. He's had very little power-play time, so maybe that's exactly what he needs to get the offense going. But speaking of his line mates, that's another one of my issues with the lines. Spread out the talent and we have a much better looking forward group in my opinion. There's no reason we couldn't have a 3rd line of Tatar - Nielsen - Frk (or something similar). That could have the potential to be one of the better 3rd lines in the league in my opinion. -

Who the f*** said that? You're just making up stuff now. Lol. Abdelkader isn't grit. He's a powerforward. He scores goals when he's set up well, he's got moves on breakaways. Did you see the penalty shot he scored? He's also got a decent wrist shot. I have no clue where you're getting this idea that Abdelkader doesn't have skill. You seem to be generalizing a lot because you don't like the system right now. Abdelkader is 0% of the problem on the PP. He can play downlow, doesn't have to play net front. Even if we changed the PP set up it doesn't mean Abdelkader wouldn't be on the PP. -
