The Wings did not sign a player to an NHL contract, pay a $92,500 signing bonus plus $70,000 minor league salary, and bring him over from Europe just to f*** with the guy and not play him. That's exactly what they did last year. The guy ******* about it and now we're actually going to entertain the idea that it was a mistake to not sign someone s***tier than McCollum to give this diva less competition. So he had to start in Toledo. Cry less and work more. That's what Coreau did and a few years later he was starting the Centennial Classic. He could possibly be our backup next season. Several NHL goalies spent time in the ECHL. Jonathan Quick spent most of his first pro year in the ECHL, but instead of crying and going home, he stuck it out then won a couple Stanley Cups. Machovsky will never sniff the NHL. He's the last person Rybar should be taking advice from.

This is exactly how I feel, the Caps have been working to get better every year and it’s paying off, but I doubt a Vegas situation ever happens again, so it’d be a great sports story if they completed their journey.

I wouldn't call him "just some schmuck", but I wouldn't put all that much stock into the exclusion of Bouchard, if that's what you're asking. I don't get it. Actually we need DD's. The Wings have: Danny DeKeyser The Kings have: Drew Doughty The Capitals have: Mia Khalifa Maybe we can trade our DD for LA's DD or DC's DD's. Get it done.

A lot of it also comes down to MAF vs Holtby. That will likely be the difference.

I think it's understated how effective the modified trap was against Winnipeg. The jets had a real tough time entering and setting up, and Vegas is a fast team, every turnover in the nuetral zone results in Vegas counterattacking with speed. I think if Ovie puts this on his back the caps got it. But if they give Vegas any wiggle room theyre gonna be in trouble.

Vegas would be a pretty cool story, and I'd like to see them win because it would piss a lot of people off. However, I have to root for Washington in this one. I'd like to see Ovechkin finally win a Cup (this may be his last chance), and I have 160 bucks on the Caps, so that's a bonus.

Now this is a SCF matchup. I have no idea who I want winning anymore. Part of me wants Vegas to prove everyone wrong but then I want Ovie to get a cup too. Guess I'll be glad either way since it's not Blackhawks or Pittsburgh.
