This really wasn't a big loss to the Leafs and as much as I hate it, it was the right move. They have a top 10 starting goaltender in Andersen, and the best goalie in the AHL last season (by far) as their backup, who is only 25 years old. They lost a very good backup in McElhinney, who is 35 years old, and a decent backup in Pickard. They could also re-claim one of these guys in a few weeks when either Darling or Neuvirth get healthy. ... and Matthews, and Marner, and Tavares...

Hope Andersen gets hurt for the leafs. Not sorry.

What's next for Detroit Red Wings after Luke Witkowski clears waivers? That's word for word the actual title that HSJ put on her article... I can't So not only does she title her garbage article with this moronic question (oh god the guy who only dressed for 30 games last year got waived, what's next?!?!?!?!), but then she doesn't even answer said question GODDAMMIT Maybe it's just cause it's Monday, but I would punch HSJ in her ugly face if I could. Oh and completely unrelated: Helene St. James Named Michigan Sports Writer Of The Year (2017) HSJ is lazy and she sucks Rant over.

Don't do me like that ever again. I was going insane. Looks like they were also openers for Rush, Anthrax, Public Enemy, and Fishbone in 92. Sounds like they were opening for whomever would take them. U2/Primus is just an odd combo in my head.

They will likely go with a 23-man roster. Whether Svechnikov is injured or not, doesn't change that, unless he's out long term (LTIR), which I doubt. It's looking like we will see something like this on opening night... Bertuzzi - Larkin - Mantha Rasmussen - Nielsen - Nyquist Vanek - Athanasiou - Helm / Abdelkader Svechnikov / Ehn - Glendening - Helm / Abdelkader Svechnikov / Ehn - Frk The defense is still up in the air, due to so much uncertainty to health. But by the sounds of it, we could be without at least 2, maybe 4 of Green, Daley, Kronwall and Ericsson... We could see something like this on opening night... DeKeyser - Cholowski Sulak - Hronek Hicketts - Jensen ... which is exciting and scary...

If you're interested in getting them lettered/numbered - I sent a few to SportsK, and they did a great job. https://www.sportsk.com/

Why? They average less than 6000 fans a game now. That's less than half the attendance of any the worst NHL teams. Never happen. Your Uber-Snowflake City would never allow it. Seattle team sweater:

It amazes me that Florida, Carolina, and Arizona haven't relocated yet.
