Jeff Blashill History
Wheelchairsuperhero reacted to ChristopherReevesLegs for a post in a topic
It's all rather simple, you see. Jeff's pathology stems from his early career with the Griffins where the seeds were first planted. With the nurturing of his overbearing GM, and emotionally distant NHL HC, he soon flowered into full-blown psychosis. Jeff's GM was a narcissist who neglected his roster in favor of his head coach, Mike Babcock, whom he viewed as a reflection of himself. Young Jeff, sensing this familial dynamic, began play-acting as Babcock, the coach whom his GM lavished with the most attention and affection. As his GM encouraged this behavior, Jeff soon came to realize that through embracing this fantasy he could shift his GM's attention to himself. In this manner, his pathology deepened and broadened, encompassing a veritable stew of neuroses, prominent among them disorders of the histrionic and borderline personality variety, which, combined with the dissociation of his vivid, Holland-reinforced fantasy, blossomed into acute Autobabcockphilia, wherein merely imagining himself as Mike Babcock was insufficient to sustain the delusion. His GM's own narcissism interacted with Jeff's burgeoning psychosis and the interpersonal dynamic gave rise to Folie a Deux, wherein the shared delusion brought to the forefront Holland's own lack of ability to build out a roster, manifesting in a case of Munchhausen by proxy in which Jeff himself is unconsciously complicit. So as you can see, this all started with young Jeff's desire to live within Mike Babcock's... skin. -

Based on this season: Fabbri as a Red Wing: 0.68 ppg Fabbri total: 0.56 ppg Zadina as a Red Wing: 0.58 ppg Based on the last 10 games: Fabbri: 0.6 ppg Zadina: 0.6 ppg Fabbri has been the better offensive player this season so far. In the last 10 games, they are pretty well dead even. Zadina continues to improve. Fabbri is more experienced, and a really good player. You are both right, depending on how you approach the stats. You guys are clearly not gonna change each others minds. Maybe wait until they both have a larger sample size under their belt, and then return to the argument, in oh I don't know, the Fabbri vs Zadina thread? So that Mantha kid... the point of this thread. It sucks he will still be out a while. But in the end, it favours Yzerman in contract negotiations. -

Fabbri was often scratched with the Blues, but was never on their 4th line. He spent the majority of his time on the 3rd line with Bozak at center, and one of Sanford, Steen, or Thomas on the other wing. Zadina wasn't ever scratched, but constantly being sent up and down can have a similar effect. He played mostly on the Wings "2nd" and 3rd line to start, but with lesser linemates than Fabbri ever had in St. Louis, with one of Filppula or Nielsen at center, and one of Helm, Erne or Glendening on the other wing. Since being promoted and playing with mostly capable linemates, Zadina has been very good (better than Fabbri) by just about every metric. Zadina is better than Fabbri now, and will likely be MUCH better in the future. That should be exciting as a Red Wings fan, unless it means you might be wrong apparently... -

Howard = Average
ChristopherReevesLegs reacted to Krayzie_Bone for a post in a topic
Since it is already the number one thread again (god let it die) ill comment again. Howard was above average in his prime. The teams he played on were a joke on D and got worse every year. If you are expecting him to do well now with this team or any team in the last 4 years you are kidding yourself. Head to head in their prime I would take Howard over Osgood. Martin Brodeur would not have done much better than Howard with the teams Howard played on has had the last few years. -

2020 Draft Thread

I just want us to flaunt Mantha-Veleno-Lafreniere every time we play the Habs. And while their fans envy our all french line, Zadina will fill their net with pucks.
