    Red Wings Archived Games Index

The following are archives for Wings games that will open in a new flash player window. These are not hosted by me, but the NHL and streamed on demand by their servers. I figure I'd share these while it's still possible, so sometime in the future be it in weeks, months or seasons they will cease to work....so watch them while you can. I will be updating this post as the season goes on; new games tend to be up anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours after they've been played before they become archives. I will also be adding posts in this thread of past playoffs and seasons, so eventually nearly every Wings game through the 07/08 season will be posted. Again I don't know how long this will last. Due to this being a long list I'm generating in excel there could be some errors, or the rare chance there is no archive of the game. Just ask me to look at a certain game should you find one not working and I'll look into it. I'm not sure of the best way to lay this out, so I'm just doing a simple list. If you have any suggestions, please share. Red Wings Archives of the 2010 Playoffs No longer updating this list, moved to my site....see my profile. this is gonna be fun

Over the past decade at this point in the season the wings would have the division locked up and just fighting for one of the 3 top seeds in the west. As fans we would be looking at the standings and wondering who the wings would match up best against, who you wouldn't want the wings to play in the first round and so on. But this year its different, they are going to be somewhere between seeds 5-8 and wont have home ice in a series for the first time in a long time. In years past they would be resting guys and getting ready for a long playoff haul, while the lower seeds would be just fighting to make the playoffs. Detroit had to worry if the team they would face in the first round would be much more prepared for the playoffs because they had been in playoff mode for about a month, while the wings hadn't played a meaningful game in that span. And a couple of times they couldn't match the oppositions energy(2003 VS ANA, 2006 VS EDM) As Red Wing fans how could you not be excited about the playoffs this year. In 3 weeks when the second season starts the wings "should" be playoff ready, and the teams they will most likely face will have the same if not more challenges than the Wings have had. And for the Wings being a lower seed they wont have the expectations they have had in previous years. Chicago: Most of their big name players(Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook) haven't had the pressure of being the team to beat. If Chi and Det meet in the first round it will be interesting to see if Chicago worries more about beating their big brother or about winning a cup. MY prediction: Det in 7 San Jose: This team has more expectations that anyone in the west. If SJ meets Det in the first round and the wings win you better expect the sharks to clean house over the summer. This is a match-up where the pressure is all on the sharks and Detroit can just play their game and hope the sharks crack under the pressure. My prediction: Det in 6 Vancouver: Of all the teams Detroit could play in the first round I feel Van will be the most interesting. They don't have the offence that Chi or SJ has, but they do have an advantage in goal, and for some reason canadian teams give the wings fits. My prediction: Van in 6 Phoenix: The desert dogs have goaltending and no pressure to win. But what they don't have is playoff experience. Detroit has a history of running into a hot goalie and getting eliminated, Ilya Bryzgalov fits the mold perfectly of being another one of those goalies. And after not winning a playoff series for 2 decades they have nothing to lose. But other than goaltending the wings out match them in everything else. MY prediction: Det in 5

Eaves deserves some major credit. He sacrificed himself to throw Rinne off his game. Eaves is brilliant, his plan worked perfectly. All Hail Eaves.

Yup, he didn't just double clutch, he triple and quadruple clutched. If he'd done the single head fake, side step and just snapped it, that would have been the game right there.

That was the best shootout in Wings history. We were only a few rounds away from the NHL record. I'm kind of bummed that Lilja didn't shoot, though. He would have just screamed at Rinne, who would have gotten out of the way in fear.

Fil is lazy and he sucks. Sidney Crosby is the best ever! Jimmy Howard likes men. That's the best I can do at trolling.

    3/27 OOT Gameday

I had a feeling Calgary would fall apart after losing to the Islanders. It would take a lot for them to pull together after a loss like that, knowing that they have to win pretty much every game in order to have a chance at the playoffs. 3-0 Boston. I'm going out on a limb here and saying WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!

    Happy Anniversary

YOU must be getting old?? Haha, I was 35 at the time, and was at the Joe that night. One of the greatest nights of my life, watching The Avs get pounded, the Wings comeback and winning on Darren's goal in OT, and laughing at Mike Keane when he said after the game that the Wings had no heart, and waited until they played at home to get back at Claude and the Avs..........

    3/27 OOT Gameday

I think it's pathetic that the west is SO MUCH STRONGER than the east. If the Pens were in this conference, they'd be 2 points away from being 9th. LOL The east's 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds wouldn't even be in the playoffs right now in the west.

yeah that is 1.4% of his total salary, but the $2,500 he has to pay today is coming out of his check for that game. How would you like it if you had a percentage like that coming out of one of your paychecks? And like someone already stated, how is that not against the Privileges and Immunities clause in the fourteenth amendment? And dont get me started on health care. How do they plan on getting the revenue for the proposals in that bill? Oh yeah, by taxing the s*** out of paychecks and everything else. And they still wont have the money. Which brings all this to a head. We now have the athletes hit by this giant mess that the corrupt government has gotten everyone in. This should be a huge sign for people to really start paying attention to who they are voting for.
