How the hell are we going to solve this sack problem. It seems Kitna is holding on to the ball a little long but with our three receiver sets I doubt teams throw a linebacker on the third guy most of the time. Perhaps throwing out more bootlegs to give him time would help?

Kitna's going to get sacked a lot no matter what. That happened with Martz's offenses in St. Louis too. The Lions attempt more passes than most teams, so they're going to get sacked more than most teams. Martz's offense covers up for it because it's easier to gain 15-20 yards on the next play than in most offenses.

My friend and i each predicted game by game the Lions season before it started..so far im 5 for 5, so take it to the bank....LIONS 27- BUCS 20 :D

If we cant beat these guys with their old coaching staff coming off a bye, then thats going to spell probable disaster the rest of the way. All games are important, but this one in particular they HAVE to win.

I expected the Lions to pull this one off. They'd better have, they have half the Bucs' coaching staff. Only six more to go and Jon Kitna is a prophet.

By the way, how cool is this? This guy lost an eye in Iraq (and his legs too.) Check out the glass eye. Now that is a fan!

OK, that just creeps me out.

As for the Lions, good job guys! Next week ought to be a bit harder, though.

At this point. I could care less if we were "lucky," or that we just "squeeked by". Bottom line is, the Detroit Lions got the "W" on sunday, and the Bucs got a big "L". We are now 4-2. And that's all that matters right now. Sure the Bucs made alot of mistakes. But that's all apart of football. The better team, that makes less mistakes, wins the game. And that's what the Lions did. Of course I still dont think we're a playoff contender. But still, we're 2 games over .500 right now. I'll take it.

Megatron's 30 yard run was amazing. That guy has already had a better career then Rogers, and M. Williams combined!

Mike Williams, yes....Charles Rogers, no.

Rogers had just as much buzz around him as Megatron. Difference is if Calvin can keep this up thru the year. If he can, year 2 should be amazing.

That Calvin Johnson run was f'n awesome! This game was ours before it even started!

Now the bad news however is that the Bears beat Philly. IMO the only way we had a shot at beating them next week was if they lost. If that were the case they'd probably have mailed it in being 2-5 being absolutely deflated. I see Chicago 24- Detroit - 17. Better road effort, but still a L.

Even with the loss though, we're going to be 10 - 6 gents...its gonna happen! We're going to beat Denver, and i dont care how hot they are theres no way the Giants are beating us here. I think theyre a fraud.

I think the Bears are going to take us behind the woodshed and violate us, unfortunately. I'll say 30-10 for now.

These guys still haven't looked too good on the road.

Yeah, I agree that we'll lose to the Bears. But 30-10???? Not a chance. Even with Brian Griese, the Bears offense is pathetic. No way in hell they score 30 points. No way. They will beat us, but it will be something like 20-7 or 20-10. I dont see the Bears scoring 30 for the rest of the season.

Griese's been playing pretty well, though. I used him on my fantasy team during the Lions bye (I usually start Kitna) and he came through for me. Also, last week he put together an amazing drive to beat the Eagles at the last second last week (7-of-9 for 97 yards in under two minutes for a TD with no time outs left - in Philly).

So far, he's got nice stats: 102 of 163 for eight TDs (and six picks) and 1203 yards. He's averaging over 300 yards a game and over the last three games he's got a QB rating over 90. Not bad.

As far as the Bears putting up 30, that may be a stretch, but they're averaging 26 points a game in the four that Griese's started (including 27 at Ford Field) and the Lions have been HORRIBLE on the road. Our last two road games the opposition outscored us 90-24. Add in that it's a divisional game and they already know what to expect from Detroit, and I can't see it being anything but ugly.

Wow! Lions football baby!!! They just won a game I didnt think they'd win...dare i say 11-5 now?! :o Jones really running the ball well, and Kitna although he had no TD's was very efficient. Great game! Can you believe we're actually leading the whole damn league in takeaways?

Well next week theres no way we should lose against Denver at home....if they go 6-2 then they are officially the '06 Detroit Tigers! Get ready for the Super Bowl :D

You guys better hurry up and get some of this Kool-Aid before it's all gone :D

All I'm hoping for is that they stay right there with Green Bay to set up a fantastic Thanksgiving showdown. Well....no, that's not quite true. I'm also hoping for the Lions to hit that magical 10-win mark, and for Jon Kitna to march into that postgame press conference and bend over to present the media with a full moon, a 1 on the left cheek and a 0 on the right, yell "SUCK IT IN THE NAME OF JESUS *******! WOOHOO!!" and march back out flipping the bird. Kitna's already leapfrogged such stalwarts as Rodney Peete and Gus Frerotte to be my second-favorite Lions QB ever, he'll pass Scott Mitchell if he does that. Aw shucks, he might just pass Mitchell anyway.

*WHEN* the Lions hit the 10 win mark and Kitna hits his prediction that will be the greatest moment in the history of my Lions fanship. To see him criticized nationwide as being nuts, and to be able to stick it to everyone will be awesome.

The Arizona game definitely scares me, if Boldin and Fitzgerald are both in the lineup i cant really see us taking that one. But at home against Denver and the G-men are so winnable i'll be extremely confident going in. That would make us 7-3 going into Thanksgiving.

And who knows with GB, they could be reeling coming in. Having no RB has got to hurt them eventually. A win on turkey day and we could have a stranglehold on the division. Am i getting ahead of myself here? Yes...but i dont care!!

I am just shocked. The way this team is winning just baffles me. First they throw like crazy and win games 38-35 and now they are ACTUALLY playing football the way it should be. Run the ball, play good defense and don't turn the ball over. Way to go Lions. Please pass me another glass of the Kool-Aid.

This is unbelievable. I still cant believe that the Detroit Lions are 5-2 and a team like the Bengals are 2-5. Crazy stuff right there. We looked damn solid again today. And wow, how great is it to see Kevin Jones tear the field up like that. Tatum who??? And our defense played exceptionally well today. Just an overall great team effort. RESTORE THE ROAR BABY!!! RRRROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!! HAHA
