mmamolo 287 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 1. The Oilers streak ends tonight, no questions asked. 2. Can someone tell me why Draper was elevated to the 3rd over Helm? Hell, I would have much rather seen a full shift of the 3rd and 4th lines. This is a perfect chance to see how some different combos work. Personally I would have tried: Miller - Helm - Eaves Meech - Draper - Williams Or at a minimum gone with Helm as the 3rd centre Miller - Helm - Williams Meech - Draper - Eaves 1 Lidstrom for life reacted to this

newfy 695 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 I really don't wanna lose to Edmonton again. If a team as bad as Edmonton wrecks our streak I'll be so pissed. 4-1 wings

OK, so do any of us see any problem with him getting those five goals tonight? I think not. I mean, why delay the inevitable? Krayzie_Bone 58 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) I feel dumb saying this but I really think Osgood should get the start and Howard could maybe use some rest. Seems like the Wings always get off to a slow start and or don't play that well against Oilers. Ugh I dont know. HOCKEY MATTERS 167 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 Wings must beat the Oil tonight. Gotta stay with J-Ho....he's red hot! I have complete faith that if J-Ho falters in the playoffs, Ozzie will stand on his head from the get-go. Wings must beat the Oil tonight. 2 points Jimmeh!! 1 GoWings1905 reacted to this
KrazyGangsta 79 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 I really think Ozzie needs to start at least 2 games in the remaining games for Howard to rest before playoffs and Osgood to get his rust out. 1 GoWings1905 reacted to this
ltgator333 3 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 I am not really bothered by Howard starting again in this game, provided it's Jimmy as usual and the team in front of him realizes this is two points on a platter PROVIDED they do what they need to do- start on time and finish what they start. Hopefully all goes well and the Wings continue to climb the statistical ladders.
Pucks 66 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 These are the type of games that seem to give the Wings the most trouble. Hopefully we can run them over tonight instead of getting in a hole.

funguy21 2 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 My prediction tonight is a landslide Red Wings. 4-0 Goals by Zetterberg, Filpula, Datsyuk, and Miller. Another shutout Howard.

Slave 31 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 couldn't have said it better myself. I will say 7-2 wings win: Z x 3 Miller Datsyuk Franzen Kronwall Also, Fil kicks the crap out of Comrie and then makes out Hillary Duff, they are later seen leaving the arena together. 8 Legged RedWing 367 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 Two days between games feels like an eternity after 2 weeks of every other day and some back to back hockey games. Anyways, can we beat the Oilers once please? We have a chance to go 6 in a row and if we play like this is a playoff game, we will cruise through Edmonton... Big IF. I say 3-1 Wings. GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 Is Dudenik playing for Edmonton again? Seriously, everytime we play them we make them look like the '84 Oilers. I'm scared of this game tonight.
dobbles 252 Report post Posted March 30, 2010 i think osgood should play tonight. howard is about to the max number of starts he has had in a year. if we expect him to take us far in the playoffs, he will be way over the # of games started for any other season he has had. so i think considering how much hockey he has played these last few months, it might be worth it to let osgood play against the oilers. that would give the team more flexibility if they wanted to start howard both games this weekend. i think they are walking a dangerous line; howard might be playing too much and get burnt out, and osgood might be getting so rusty that he wouldn't do very well if howard falters. then again with how awful we looked last time against the oilers, maybe howard is needed tonight just as much as the other games. its just hard to look at that schedule and see edmontons record and not view it as a perfect time to start osgood.
