What things that can potentially occur this upcoming season excite you?
I'll get the easy one outta the way... winning.
I'm hoping to see more of Datsyuk & Helm on the same line. They were exciting to watch together this past playoffs.

Lidstrom continuing to work wonders at 41.

Kronwalling. Hopefully he uses it sparingly during the season so he doesn't get injured, but lets it rip in the playoffs.

Jimmy continuing to improve his rebound control.

My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Howard having as good of regular season as this past years playoffs.
Filpulla putting up 65 points.
Hudler having a good regular season and then walking away as a UFA next offseason.
I guess that last one is more of a prediction.

More Franzen showing up/not being injured aka less of whatever his problem was.
More Filppula stepping up (hard to say this with a straight face, but I keep hoping). I feel if these two guys could just get going, this would help us exponentially (or a lot, anyway).

Winning, winning and more winning, whatever it takes, regular season and playoffs.
At the same time it's hard for me to specify how they should win. I'd feel a little weird if I hoped for them to play harder and yet last 82 games and the entire playoffs.
