Seriously, 176 PIM in the first 12 minutes of that Nucks/Flames game?? I know it's off topic but it's still a pretty significant event in tonights hockey games. It has to be some kind of record for fastest PIM total in a game.

I think they notched something like 112 mins. in the first two seconds, right? And every skater on the ice pairing off with another one - that itself is extremely rare.Cr

Sheer insanity.

Kukla's corner has the video here.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Ginger twins probably started pulling hair and slapping. :D

Craziness, good to see some old time brawling hockey hit the ice every now and again.

WTH is Torts thinking?  He's trying to either charge into the Flames locker room or take on the entire team.Staff and players all pushing him away.

Now goalie coach is trying to go after Torts, team is holding him back.  These people are going bats*** crazy!

Torts just tried to go after Hartley in the Calgary hallway in between periods, this is just crazy.

So then I assume that was not the line the Nucks expected the Flames to put out there for the start of the game.

Calgary was the one who instigated it with their starting lineup. Westgarth taking the opening faceoff sends a pretty clear message you're not interested in playing hockey.

Funny to see Tortorella going nuts in the hallway. He had a right to be pissed, but I kinda still wanted someone to punch him. :P

Did anyone else notice the tattooed guy in the stands behind the Calgary bench wearing a Justin Timberlake shirt ??
