kickazz 5,459 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 Trade both of them for Corey Perry. So Datsyuk could kick his a** in the locker room this time?
LeftWinger 4,964 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 So, it was brought to attention last night that Gus wasn't on Sheahan's line that year...oops! You're right, I don't know why I thought it was Nyquist that was there, but that was the year he spent most of it in GR. The line indeed was Tats - Sheahan - Jurco. I still say, while we have a few injuries lets give AA a look. Its not going to hurt and like stated, this team won't miss Andy or Ferraro for a handful of games. After last nights lack luster effort they could use a change for a bit. Nyquist - Z - Fonduvader Pulk - Larkin - AA Tats - Sheahan - Jurco Miller - Glen - Helm
joesuffP 1,746 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 This team needs some energy. A fourth line that will crash and bang and own the puck would help. Most teams have a guy that will throw the body or go out there looking to create energy when the game isn't looking good. Abby usually does this but he isn't. The whole team just looks slow to the puck it's always just out of their reach and getting outmuscled every step of the way
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 I suggested young Bert as a call up to the 4th line in another thread, just think him Luke and maybe Helm would be a good 4th line with some bang grit and speed.
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) 2 words: Mike McKee that guy would play his butt of and provide some entertainment no matter the score but he I guess he is to tough and physical to get a real chance rather play guys like Jurco... kipwinger 8,532 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 You don't honestly think Mike McKee would make our team better do you? I mean, no b.s., you REALLY think that? 1 PavelValerievichDatsyuk reacted to this
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 I've said he would play hard, work hard and provide entertainment I for sure wouldn't expect him to score a ton of points but that's also not the job of a fourth liner.
kipwinger 8,532 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 So, just to be clear, you don't think he'd improve the team but you do think he'd make losing more entertaining? 2 joesuffP and Bolgar reacted to this
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 I think he would improve the entertainment value just like a guy like Biznasty would. We are talking about fourth liners here they aren't tasked to improve the team that's usually the job of the top 6 guys, top 4 defenders.

But I'm just interested in your priorities. We're having a discussion about roster moves that would improve the team's dismal start to the season, and you've recommended two guys who you readily admit won't make the team a bit better. But will make them more entertaining when they lose. Which is fine. Your opinion after all. I've actually always believed that you'd rather lose with enforcers than win with euros. This just sort of confirms it. 2 e_prime and Bolgar reacted to this
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 Kadeykin McKee Bodin would be a huge 4th line size wise but what would the + - be like after a few games ?
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted October 29, 2015 A salary cap league doesn't leave room for guts who can't play a regular shift, especially ones who have trouble staying in the lineup in college.

frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 I was just wondering about McKee, anyone been paying attention to him at Western? Does he look like he may make GR anytime soon?I hope he will guy is exactly what the doctor ordered. He will create energy , block shots bring a heavy game drop the gloves if he needs to and might bring back the hw belt to the place where it belongs Last I've read is that he's adjusting to the forward position and wants to get faster. Wings could do a better job with reports regarding him the last one is almost 4 months old
DickieDunn 2,571 Report post Posted October 31, 2015 He had 3 points in 34 games last year. WMU is starting their season tonight. Unless he starts showing he can do more than hit and fight he'll never be an NHL player
jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted October 31, 2015 Does anyone remember the logic behind switching him to wing? Cuz we drafted him to be a defenseman... Was he that bad at defense that they couldn't use him on the 3rd pair in college, or did they just want the size up front?
e_prime 1,936 Report post Posted October 31, 2015 So McKee is getting action on two separate threads. Things are really bleak, huh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He was always projected as more likely to be a winger

I really hope that McKee becomes the player Holland hoped he would become when he drafted him, could use that type of player here...but sadly, you would think that if he were making the correct strides, he probably would've already signed a pro contract and been in GR. Still crossing my fingers for him though!

Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted November 19, 2015 So Smith sits again whilst rookie Marchy looks better each game that passes. Does anyone see Smith being used in a package deal for a trade or is it just Blashill trying to make a point to him. If he misses another 3 to 4 games as a healthy then I think he's gone.
