Jacksoni 418 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 I watched the Calgary-Ottawa game the other night to get a feel for how we'd stack up against the Senators tonight. I have no idea how this game will go. Ain't betting nothing. Just observing and hoping the injured key players return ASAP. And that we survive at .500 until the return of atleast Datsyuk and 1 key D-man.

drwfan1916 1 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Ill be in my usual seat, 2500 miles away. Go Wings. I will only be 250 miles away but will also be in my usual seat. I hope the Wings exhibit some puck control, patience and play like this isn't the first time they have skated together in tonight's game. I feel good about this one, Wings win 3-1. Larkin, Miller, and Nyquist on the PP.

hankzet40 233 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 No clue on this one. Calgary has been pretty putrid offensively and easily could have put 5 past Anderson the other night so hoping the boys get that same kind of outing tonight. LGW.

frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 With Methot out their defense is even worse, so it might be an opportunity here for the Wings if they finally put together a solid 60 minute effort.
kipwinger 8,754 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 Tonight the Wings start turning it around. Tonight the Wings win 3-1 on the backs of Tatar, Nyquist, and Abdelkader. LGW! 2 rick zombo and jimmyemeryhunter reacted to this
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted October 30, 2015 I'm glad to see Larkin back with Z. They have been our most (read: only) consistently positive players thus far this season, and more so when they've been together. Let them do their thing and control play. I'm obviously not an NHL coach, but as a fan I've never subscribed to the method of breaking up linemates that are rolling to pick up the play of their under-performing teammates. Good players when given enough time will and should learn to play through their slumps, especially when its players with a past history of success together (i.e. Tatar and Nyquist). Shuffling lines too frequently tends to do more harm than good. Let the players that are carrying the play continue to build on their momentum. Allow those players in a rut to work their way out of it together and rebuild that chemistry for the long-term good. Don't hide their inadequate play behind the few players that are providing both effort and results. All that does is disrupt things and mask underlying issues. Babcock did that far too much, and so has Blashill thus far.
