I wish the NHL could be more like this guy and admit their mistake. I've never really followed baseball much, but after I heard what this umpire had to say and read the stuff I did, I gained a lot of respect for that league. NHL needs to take a page out of their book.

I don't understand posts like this. What makes him NHL's talent aside from him previously having a contract with an NHL team? I see him as Russian talent, not NHL talent. He grew up playing hockey in Russia, that's where he learned the game. If anything, they could be saying exactly what you said about the NHL stealing their talent.

It would suck to see such a talented player leave, but I wouldn't think anything less of the guy for going to play for a professional league in his native country.

The two from the back are going to the bench.  The two in front of them just came on the ice and are not in the play.  To me, that's not too many men.

Howard has played great for us.  He let in a few softies against the 'Yotes, but he redeemed himself. He answered all the whining from people after game 3 by getting a shut out in game 4.  If it wasn't for Jovo trying to get into Howie's pads in game 5, he gets a shut out there too. Game 7, fluke goal right off the face off, if it wasn't for that he picks up his 3rd shut out in a 7 game series. Tonight's game, the majority of SJ's goals were due to ticky-tack calls, including a 5 on 3, and then the game winner on a play where Lids has to drop his broken stick, and unable to help Howie.  I see absolutely no need to pull him for a cold/rusty Osgood.

Lets face it, after the season the Wings had, we should all be glad that they are even in the WCSF. Maybe he has played like crap like you think he has, and I just don't see it because I'm a big Howie fan, he still stays in net. This is the year where whether he play good or bad, he gets the first post season under his belt. So this thread about pulling Howie for Osgood, is just as ridiculous now, as it was during the first series.  And I guarantee that there will be someone here who makes the same exact thread when we play the Nucks/Hawks next round.  That's right, we WILL play them, with HOWIE in net.

That's a legit call on Pavel, although I think he went down way too easy.

Of course no goal ... NHL wants to give Washington every chance to win this thing ... hahaha.

That's why they waived off Caps goal too on a weak call...

At least everyone has somewhat cooled down with that word.  When I first joined these boards, 3 out of 4 posts threads included the word classy.
