#2394552 WCQF Game 2 GDT - Red Wings 5 @ Ducks 4 OT (Series tied, 1-1)

I want Selanne to get Kronwalled into retirement. Don't like him now. Never have.

As someone who has followed the Wings basically since birth, I reject the notion that I have to be satisfied with the product we are seeing right now or to take a hike.  That's just true arrogance (or is it defeatism?) showing.  Perhaps you should take the hike and get off of the bandwagon.

I am guessing by your whining and bitching that you were born 11 years ago ? Any guy that is a true fan that questions the roster 2 periods into game one of a 7 game series is lost. Settle in. Have some faith. Be a fan and not a knee jerk reaction negative nancy like some of your friends on here. We need to be better that is obvious This is our lineup. They all know how to get it done. RELAX

If keeping some stupid playoff streak is the main goal, you're doing it wrong.

This roster needs some serious revamping.

Buddy we can't change the roster. Get over it. Either get on board and quit whining like a 6 year old or hit the road

Tough one, we can be better thats for sure. Need to get more pucks to the net for 60 mins.  Bert will be in Toots will be out.  1 game doesn't make a series either way.  Get a clue , get behind this squad and lets tie this thing up in game 2.

wings looked like an AHL team that period.

It's 1-1 heading to the 3rd on the road in game 1.  Could be in alot worse shape, Need a big kill

#2392305 Kronwall and Rig on the wing?

Posted by puckbags on 30 April 2013 - 05:39 PM

What have you asked for in return? Are you getting Fair Market Value? :-p

The Panthers forums offered a stale bag of Doritos and a signed 1995-1996 Johan Garpenlov jock strap.  They said they would've offered more but they have enough negativity on their forum..hell they are the Panthers.

I also have thought about dressing 8 defensemen in 4 pairings, 3 lines of forwards, and an enforcer.

And we have all thought about how nice it would be to trade you to the Florida Panthers forums, in the words of the Rolling Stones " You can't always get what you want "

#2391454 Thank You Detroit Red Wings...

Posted by puckbags on 28 April 2013 - 03:26 PM

I just wanted to start a topic for us to say Thanks to the Red Wings for providing us with a great regular season despite all the adversities and drama and odds against us! (Thank God, we didn't hear the "Too Old" card this year.)

So, despite all of this:

  • Nick Lidstrom retiring
  • Tomas Holmstrom retiring
  • Brad Stuart trade
  • New Asst. Coach
  • Losing out on Parise, Suter, Schultz, Doan and every other "Top" UFA
  • Countless injuries to our Defense creating our youngest average D since Nick and Vladdy were Rookies
  • Gustavsson hurting himself and never really turning into a reliable backup
  • Losing Helm for the season (again)
  • Losing Bertuzzi's experience and Sammy to injury

(I am sure that I am leaving something out)

But anyway, despite all of this and despite the experts having us out of the playoffs for the first time since I turned 20, THE Detroit Red Wings proved once again, that when it comes to being a perennial winning team in the NHL, nobody does it better! Eat that Olsen Twins!

SO, Despite all the above mentioned scenarios that were supposed to have us dwelling at the bottom of the NHL, you guys did it.  No matter where you go in the playoffs, this is a winning season and every other team in the league is just shaking their heads right now!

Watch out NHL, don't look now, because the Red Wings just rebuilt on the fly and will be back on top sooner than you can say 22 straight years!

THANK YOU DETROIT RED WINGS for a regular season to remember! (now lets spoil some parties!)

Did someone hijack your computer? lol...in all seriousness it was a completely different kind of season then any i've seen in my 20 years following this team.  Not sure I would like to repeat this but we are the team that just got in and are playing our best hockey. Lets do some damage.

I don't know what Gus learned about himself in his last stint in GR but he has a completely different work ethic.

that's the kind of stupid s*** that could just rally teams to play harder to "stick it to them".

pretty childish and unnecessary.

You may be taking life a little bit too  seriously ..WOW

Danny D has passed Smith, Quincey, Kindl, Lashoff, Cola and White on the depth chart.  He is playing better than Kronwall and Ericsson...I'm not sure if this is good or bad lol.

This game is in the mud now..lots of hacking, chopping and hooking.
