#2203274 Bold predictions for the year!

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 11 August 2011 - 11:00 AM

Calling that for White is not bold. It's logical analysis.

Ericsson will steady his play and play more physical, but he'll still be on the third pairing. He might even get himself played out of the lineup if Kindl really breaks out.

Awfully bold to predict Franzen to have *another* 40+ year, when his career high is 34. Or awfully stupid.

Hudler having a 50+ season may be considered bold but is certainly not unreasonable.

Mursak will likely take Miller's spot by December.

Are you seriously saying what someone posted on here is stupid? seriously after the wondrous stuff you have posted about Hudler? wow. hahaha
Keep it up champ.

#2202156 Weber Arbitration hearing...

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 03 August 2011 - 08:58 AM

This just shows that everything I have said about the Nashville Predators is true! A JOKE Organization!! You are not going to come to terms with your franchise player????? WTF!! This would be like the Wings saying see ya to Zetterberg or Datsyuk!! And yet, people still follow the Preds, but then again the people down there in TN are not the sharpest pencils in the box either!

have you ever seem hardcore pawn? i would watch that before judging people in Nashville/TN. :D

It sucks to see him retire, but I don't blame him for wanting to move on.

We'll all say the same thing the day you stop posting here.

Amen.

I will miss osgood and if its true i'm happy that he will be taking a position with us in some other form.

#2188453 No, No, NO! Jagr interested in Detroit.

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 23 June 2011 - 03:58 PM

With Holland saying the ball is in Jagr's court and he wants to know before July 1st and the report by Jagr's agent saying they are going to wait till July 1st to sign a contract, Does that mean Jagr's chances for Detroit are now gone like his mullet?

I want mulleted Jagr=(

#2184827 Will Nicklas Lidstrom Retire?

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 13 June 2011 - 09:12 AM

Because he isn't as good as he was in 02.

Which means he should be paid league minimum. Duh.

Shoot he should have been getting less a few years now......... :hehe:

I think I'm with some of you here. I just have a bad feeling he will retire. I hope he goes 1 more year.

BTW Doc...you have to add Posted Image to your sig.=)

You're wrong...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is-XfWAtTF4

This isn't the horribly dirty hit you're playing it out to be. It was an illegal hit, sure, but what's getting it attention is that Horton was hurt. If he weren't hurt, it would have been a two-minute penalty for interference and this thread wouldn't exist. Bear in mind too that many players are injured on clean hits.

How is "accordingly" 5+ games for a hit like this? One is not punished based on the severity of the injury.

Everyone in the hockey analysis world disagrees with you.

I agree with you on this. Yes it was a tad late..barely. was not a shot to the head. I think some people need to "re-watch" the video a little more close and not have the hate on for the nucks when watching. I think if any 1-2 games...thats it. But thats just me.

well there you go. 4 games.

#2181769 James Wisniewski

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 01 June 2011 - 03:13 PM

I know it's only a couple of incidents, but they make me question his decision making.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8vhXmCwt5w

if these 2 videos make you dislike the guy then please don't watch any of chelios's old videos =)

Me personally i love the avery taunt and that hit on seabrook may it be a little high was not like it was blind sided or anything. i think we need someone with a little more sandpaper like that. thats why i miss downey so much.

The Avery taunt per what some were saying was just Wisniewski telling Avery to brush his teeth. geez=)

#2176786 Subliminal Sidney Crosby Messages in NHL commercials?

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 18 May 2011 - 12:15 PM

No one is putting an All-time label on him now, but he's one of the few players in this generation that have the ability to do so. He's on the pace to be one.

The NHL will suffer so very much if Crosby does not recover 100%. Crosby will be the reason the NHL will be successful league or fall back into the shadows

Well i do agree with you that he is one hell of a player and can be That great star of the nhl..i have to disagree about the success of the nhl being on his shoulders. How about the nhl push the greatness of datsyuk? or many others that are great in this league and not just focus on 1 player 90-95% of the time.

#2175025 Hudler's Future

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 13 May 2011 - 11:50 AM

I honestly think you all have blinders on when you watch Hudler. I'm not going to sit here and praise him as though he's the greatest player on the planet but sometimes I think I'm not watching the same game as the rest of you. I can see his faults and when he has s***ty games (which he certainly did this year) but the absolute refusal of the vast majority of posters on this site to give absolutely any credit where credit is due to Hudler is just flat out absurd. I just don't understand how most posters on this site can honestly feel as though they're watching things objectively.

so 5 out of 1000's is the majority? what we can't have our opinions toward him? we have to agree with you?

#2174714 Congratulations to the Sharks

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 13 May 2011 - 01:33 AM

It was a heck of a series. Stinks one team had to lose. 6 of the 7 games were one goal games. Red Wing fans love this diving thing. Get over it. Your Wings scored an offside goal and a goal with too many men on the ice this series. Setoguchi gets dropped by Bertuzzi in OT and gets called.

Just find this "f*** the Sharks" attitude a bit over the top.

How about you go get your shark shaped dildo and go spin on it. Don't come here after a loss like this and tell us how we should be feeling and all that. Big man now calling everyone babies now that your diving team makes it past us. To be honest it was a really good series i feel but dude really. You probably need to not post in a thread like this after a loss like this.

#2173155 Bring back the minus rating!

Posted by hillbillywingsfan on 12 May 2011 - 02:44 PM

Hell no. There's too many adolescent, pre-pubescent little snots here who love to do nothing more than spam peoples' posts, regardless of the content therein, and it's basically harassment. It happened when the function existed originally, and you damn well know it will happen again if it's brought back. It doesn't foster discussion, community, or even respect. It's pointless and useless. Not to mention, cowardly. If someone posts "You know, I think Jimmy Howard really isn't that great of a goalie" and gets 20 -1's......how is that a constructive discussion? Why didn't those 20 people quote the post and say "You know, I disagree......."?

If you don't like someone's post, you just ignore it. If you like someone's post, you give them a +1.

I totally agree. There were a lot of people just doing it because of the poster who posted. Had nothing to do with the post it self.

Try posting in the Political Discussion and see how many - you get.
you get a - or +....what does it really change anything how you feel about the poster or what they posted? I think it's useless and doesn't need to be there.

for example
