You know what? I can't argue with you on any of that. However, one could make a case that despite being outplayed or outhusseled, despite losing faceoffs (other than on PK's), despite playing with a lack of heart, it took bad calls or bad non calls to put the dagger in in all 4 of SJ's wins. You could make a pretty solid case there. I even want to go so far as to say it's the Wings own fault for having to chase the puck more than being on possession of the puck, but some crucial calls weren't even because of that. I don't know, it's just hard to swallow. SJ deserves to win, and they get the credit, but boy they sure had a lot of help.

Who do you cheer for now?

I've always liked and respected the Sharks and I still do. They're a skilled, big, fast team and we were simply outclassed by them this year. I'll be rooting for the Sharks to win the Cup, who else will be?

Poor showing. I miss the days where Mac, Malts, Draper, Yezerman and Shanny, were standing up on the bench, firing their team up, playing with heart, throwing weight around, shooting, going all out. A little less skill, a little more heart should be the off season strategy. Howard had a great rookie year. A few bad goals, but, he's a rookie, he's supposed to play like a rookie. Tonight, he played fantastic. Hope he comes back stronger next year.

Thanks for the Great Season, Detroit!

Thank you Red Wings! You were so great. I'm just really pissed off that the officiating determined this games outcome and game 2's outcome. GO MONTREAL OR BOSTON and GO HAWKS OR NUCKS (I can't believe I just said go hawks...) And Lidstrom, I hope you come back. If you don't, please promise us all you'll live a happy rest of your life and you won't think of this loss every time you think about your hockey career ending. Thank you for the 19 years of glory and all the cups you helped bring to Hockeytown. LET'S GO RED WINGS! LET'S GO RED WINGS! LET'S GO RED WINGS!

***** less about the reffing. The Wings have to be good enough to overcome them. There are so many ways the Wings can improve in this game and so far they are barely getting by.

Luongo Not the Answer for Vancouver

We were lucky to see Roy when he was at his worst, too. Muueeeehaaahaaa. Sick, I know - but I couldn't resist.

I cannot go along with that... I think Mickey's summation at the end of the broadcast summed it up. SJ deserved full credit for winning this thing, but the refs didn't help matters. That no-call on the hit on Franzen was the bad officiating coup de grace of the whole series.

Who do you cheer for now?

well seeing that Van is down 3-1.... Sharks out of the west Bruins out of the east Bruins for it all... Most importantly... i hope the hawks come no where near the cup

Stanley Cup Champions, Stanley Cup finalist, second round loss to the best team in the west. I can't complain at all.

I didn't notice anyone carry the puck for more than 3 feet without losing it.

Thanks for the Great Season, Detroit!

Thanks for a good season. I'm right now trying to puzzle out how to accept a series loss that was so greatly brought on by officiating.

It's strangely fitting that San Jose's game winner comes off of a terrible non-call.

Just couldn't pull it off this year. We definately made it farther than we were supposed to. You can't win every year. Hopefully we have a decent summer and get our lineup evened out. We can just hope that Bettman and the refs don't screw the league up even more than it already is. We also need to hope for Chicago and s***tsburgh to lose in the playoffs this year. Here's looking forward to a good summer for the Wings. We'll be back next year!!!!!!!!

Love the fact that the NHL assigns O'Halloran to work a Wings elimination game.

That'll do it. End of another year of hockey ruined by Bettman and his moron refs.

Things are looking up for us , we were horrible all around except for Howard who has been our best player tonight and the Carps didn't score. Second period is going to be a different matter. Let's cream them Carps!

It's been a while since a big name goalie has really put on a show during the playoffs. We were lucky to see Hasek and Roy when they were at their best -- they don't come around too often.

Possibility that Williams plays Game 5...? If so, there is the very real possibility that Babcock is on drugs. Seriously.
