    Red Wings Tough Guy?

Because we don't have any of those on the team. We don't have any of those on our team. We don't have any of those on our team. Datsyuk fought Perry and did fine and I don't find it likely that Pronger would fight a guy with a better fighting record on this team. He went after Dan Cleary for crying out loud. I think it has been stated countless times why Hudler remains on this team, slumping aside, and Miller brings a defensive game no enforcer would match. Considering our even strength play is the issue right now, I don't see how an enforcer is going to fix any of those problems. But good luck trying to convince us of that for the next 30 pages.

    Red Wings Tough Guy?

Yeah youre right. Drew Millers 6 points, -1, 8 minutes on the ice per game and next to no physicality would really help this team more then Zenon Konopka's 8 minutes on ice per game, 2 minutes on the PK, 5 points, big hits, fights and 59% on face offs. Millers stats are also way better then Prust's 12 minutes on the ice per game, 1 and a half minutes on the PK, 15 points and fighting. Wow look at that Konopka who led the league in fighting majors last year has pretty much the same stats as Miller while being a way bigger hitter, a very good fighter and just overall more physical. Prust has pretty much better stats in every facet of the game and his primary role is an enforcer. Thats not to mention guys like Clarkson who is clearly better, Chris Neil, or defenseman like Carkner or Engelland who are just as good as Ruslan Salei, if not better. Maybe people should start looking at facts instead of assuming all enforcers cant play hockey or skate. Its called watching hockey, I guess some people don't watch they just read the boxscore see a fight and assume the guy isn't good at hockey. Hwy am I saying hwat, hwat hway?

Almost makes it that much better. Excuses on the horizon no doubt. Losing to Russia makes it worse for him. I can imagine him at home going to get the DVD of Crosby's golden goal now haha.

Winning is more fun when you can also punch people in the face. Just ask the Pens and Flyers.

Enforcers help toughen up soft Euros, in order to ready them for a playoff run, by which point they'll be battle tested. Because there are certain fans here who are too in love with some useless 4th liners, to bear the thought of that player leaving for an enforcer in the lineup.

John Keating is lazy and sucks

Y'know, there is a whole lot of loose and strong talk about Murph being a drunk, and I for one am getting sick and tired of it. I ask of you: who of us doesn't like cold beer? Who of us doesn't like dollar hot dogs? And who of us doesn't like Arby's curly fries, especially after a hat trick? It takes a real man to stand up for what he believes in - a Murph Man. I am a Murph Man and I'm not ashamed to admit it. So c'mon LGW! If you are real men and women let your Murph flag fly! Who's with me? *humming Glory Glory Hallelujah*

Ozzie get's his 400 win and retires after this year, question, is he going to the Hall of Fame? With 3 Cup rings and 400 wins, I say yes. The thing that bothers me most about losing to the Pens in 2009 is that Ozzie was robbed of a Conn Smythe.

Almost as ugly as Crosby. That dips*** looks like a freakin jackass braying when he scores a goal with his buck teeth and my god those LIPS (perfect for a blow). Bet his parents never had to pay a sitter when he was small, just wet his lips and stick him on the wall.

Usually enforcers are plugs for the fourth line, which incidentally has been our best line as of late.

Yup. Still 1st place in the West without arguably 2 of our best forwards this year so far. Simply hasn't been necessary.

    Red Wings Tough Guy?

Fixed. Sorry, I had to spell check that monstrosity of a post. Welcome to LGW, but if you want people to take you seriously, maybe take a little time and make your post a little more readable. As far as your points go, I agree with the fact that we don't really have an enforcer type of player on our team, but as of right now, I don't really see why we would need it. We're beating teams on the score sheet. Sure Hudler is essentially invisible this year, but I thought he played a little harder against Edmonton the other night. Modano was playing well up until he got injured too. Like I said, I don't know really what caused you to want to bring this up because it's not like teams are taking runs at our players or our players are getting injured in dirty play. We're a skilled team all around and as long as we're playing hard, I don't see the need for an enforcer. Not exactly the best team, plus they play in a division that contains the bottom two teams in the much weaker Eastern Conference. I'd expect them to be close to the top of the conference, as well as the NHL. But they're 4th. Not the best.
