I thought the debate would be about how Amway sucks and is a pyramid scheme, etc. Anyone here ever sat through an Amway presentation? I did it once and I will never do it again because it really was a waste of time. You got your plan A and plan B and hey, you can be like Mark Zuckerberg if you have the enthusiasm!!!

I think its a little premature to conclude that these deaths are the result of mental illnesses caused by repeated blows to the head, and fighting should be removed. There are plenty of enforcers from the 80s and 90s that retired and haven't had any major issues. Sure, getting punched in the head constantly won't improve your health, but its the job enforcers accept. Someone else made an interesting point saying that teams in today's NHL typically have only 1 or 2 designated scrappers to handle most of the rough stuff, as opposed to the 80s and 90s, where fighting was more prevelant, and more players fought, lessening the "workload" for each other, in essence. I really hope these are just rare cases happening in a short period of time. The enforcer core definitely took a hit this summer

Yup, I sat through the Amway presentation once because I didn't know what was coming. My roommate's parents had gotten her into it and she had to bring in so many new prospects according to the "system" or she wasn't following it. I said I'd give it a listen, just to help her out. Freaky. I'm really not keen on the Red Wings being associated with them, but I guess everyone needs a cash cow. Now if they can get 5 other teams to agree to the branding, and those teams get 5 teams...

I caught some heat on facebook for calling that guy a dips***. One of the responses was "Dont get too mad, your boys in Detroit have dropped it a couple times" This chick replied with "We've had it so many times, that's bound to happen" She got a like out of me. Shes hot too.

My eyes are dirty? ...Who the f*** are you?! Did the kid put himself in a bad position? Yes of course he did. Did the guy hitting him charge? Yes, I believe he did. Did the guy hitting him, hit too high? Yes, I believe he did. Did the guy hitting him try to slow down? No. Did the guy hitting him show any remorse? Hell no, he pushes another guy other right after the hit. Did an overage OHL player hit a 16 year old rookie with intention to hurt? I believe so. Of course I watched the video. It was a blatant head shot. It's a problem in pro hockey. You can ticky-tack it all you want, doesn't change the fact that the kid was knocked unconcious from a blow to the head. But don't let me stop you... continue arguing the validity of the hit.

Good hit, players need to stop turning their back. No way a guy can let up when you turn your back half a second before the guy hits you. Should of probably been a charging though, that's it. I agree with Doc.

Oh I agree, I probably wouldn't have called charging either. But in a Junior league I wouldn't be surprised if it was called after the outcome.
