    Pronger injured after high-stick

This piece of s*** deserves to be injured after trying to step on people with his skate and running people from behind into the boards. Don't forget his cheap attempt to injure Yzerman in the 2002 playoffs. He's attempted to injure many players in his career. What goes around comes around.

I have nothing against Pronger and I hope he can still see with both of his eyes.

I loathe Chris Pronger. I hope he's not seriously injured, but I still loathe him. I can hate you and hope you don't die all at the same time.

Ha ha ha ha Blueadams: "Mike, Mike, Mike! I liked your new line power play combos 5 on 3 set-up the other day night. They were bitchin, man." Mike: "Thanks! You can thank the new assistant coaches for ..." Blueadams: "Can you put Franzen with Z and D, and move Hudler down with Helm, and move Filppula and Hudler down with Franzen, and ...." Mike (turns, walks away, and muttles under his breath): "Jesus." Blueadams later: "..... He completely blew me off."

    Pronger injured after high-stick

I'm all for hoping he doesn't die. When that puck hit him in the chest, I didn't realize it caught him in the heart and made it stop. I was at the game and saying something like "Oh, suck it up, you pansy. You can dish it out but you can't take it." Then I heard his heart stopped and knew I had just made my reservation for the second circle of hell. THAT circumstance deserved care and concern. This is NOT the Stevy Y hit against Calgary. Those of us who aren't rustling up a whole lot of sympathy remember his Homer sandwich in the playoffs. He has a lot of karma coming back at him. If you're going to get all worked up over everything that happens to him, you'd best get comfy.

This is the point sailing over your head--> * This is your head ----------------------------> O It has nothing to do with who is untouchable and who is not. It has to do with constructive criticism that isn't insulting. Lidstrom can be criticized as much as Conklin, but that doesn't mean because one is our captain and the other is our back-up goaltender, one is afforded more respect than the other. They both play for our team, they're both important cogs to our team's success, and that's that. If you can't criticize either one without giving them sophomoric nicknames, then let someone else make your point better and just +1 them.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but to be perfectly honest with you, I couldn't find sympathy for him if I had a pack of bloodhounds on the trail.

Hate him for what he does on ice, but, one should never wish a scarring injury on someone, and if this was to his eye it could be bad. I hope hes ok.

Jimmy Howard will miss Tuesday's Game

You sound wounded. I gather you were oft-criticized on your old account.

I've watched it 5 or 6 times, but it skips quite a bit. From I can tell, it looks like the puck hits him going past. There is no blood on his jersey or the ice, no one is holding a towel to his face. He falls quickly, but you have to admit that's not surprising. From what I could see and hear, my perception remains the same; he's not seriously injured, and damn that had to hurt. If there's a better angle or the current video isn't so choppy at a later date and it proves otherwise, I'll retract my statement and issue one appropriate for the circumstances. Until then, lots of ice and Motrin.

We understand that players will have bad games, and will under-perform. We also understand that other fans may not appreciate said under-performance. However, calling players "Craplin" and "McGarbage"? What are you, 12? So yeah, you're not going to make many friends here insulting the players. Other people here know how to voice displeasure with someone's performance without doing that.

COngrats to Jimmy and Rachel. Good job to plan the birth for a weaker part of the schedule. The Howards' are thinking ahead! Meh. You could probably count all of Mindfly's kids on zero fingers.

I went to school with Chris Pronger and taught Sidney Crosby in high school. Both great guys.

You're right, that one loss defined his whole career and shutouts don't come easy no matter who you're playing. Last I checked, the Avs are off to quite the start, too. Since the market is flooded with so many legit backups, who would you prefer to see out there with Conks salary?

Which one, banged McCarty or lived next to a chick who did? Neither for me, thanks.

I lived next to a chick that was banging McCarty; but haven't we all at some time or another?

No big story or anything, and I wasn't real good friends with him but we did talk from time to time. I went to high school with him in Norton Shores. It's just that most of the other players on the high school team were cocky and rude while he was a genuinely nice kid. So he always kind of stuck out to me and I'm glad that people like him are representing our team. Plus I was just trying to familiarize myself with this forum being that it's my first time posting on this or any other site. And thanks uncle danny for the warm welcome!
