Do we really have to respect San Jose?

You are wrong. If he was healthy, he would be playing more often. This is not a surprise that he doesn't play every game, since he has never played a full season in the NHL. He's a little guy, in a tough sport, he plays awesome for his size but that also must wear on him. The bottom line is, you don't sign someone for 3 years if that player is cancer. To the serious comment: I felt it necessary to answer the question, since 3 people including yourself bothered to respond and only one response was on topic.

Ok people, paying attention during the game helps. Eaves has been injured, nagging back issues, they say this every game he isn't in. There is no one in a doghouse, there is no conspiracy, there is no reason for this topic.

Have you not noticed that at least 5 pens games were shown while Crosby was not playing? And first Wings game to be shown in the whole season is Friday. And those games shown were the Pens against s***ty teams that was not even exciting hockey.

I think this is where some may say "blind hate." Ovechkin's not a diver? I can find some video showing some more blantant dives than you'll ever find for Crosby. He's a two-way player? Is that a joke? His coach may be trying to push that, but he defense is nowhere near to the level of Crosby (not saying Crosby is a defensive master, but he's improviing for sure and is much more two-way than Ovechkin). He's a centre though, so tough to compare. Not sure what the sense of aentitlement commen is about though, but I'm assuming it's just a fun throw in that can't really be backed up, but hey...why not. It's funny, anyone that I talk to that spends any time at all around Crosby suggests he's one of the most humble professional athletes they have ever encountered. I guess it's funny the contrasting views some fans can take (I tend to rely on those that actually spend more time around him though).

i'm not gonna hate on bertuzzi aside from all his unnecessary giveaways, but homer on the other hand... there's a difference between "role player" and "one-dimensional" and homer is the latter. i was the one that started the "what's up with Zetterberg" topic purely cause i haven't been able to watch hockey cause i'm not in North America where i can watch it. but with Zetterberg, you expect him to produce around a point a game pace. i've been waiting for homer to hang them up for years. taking places of departed players like leino who can actually hack top 6 play, but was a terrible fit on the bottom 6. tatar and nyquist should definitely be on this team next year. i'm just glad guys like rafalski retired when they realized they couldn't produce at the level they should be at cause they're too beaten up from injuries. homer will play out the rest of the year and he needs to retire in the offseason. i really hope babcock plays "the best players" in the playoffs, and if that means that our 3rd line is tatar/nyquist/mursak to help the wings win the cup, then so be it.

Crosby's a ****** bag. With that said, I'm glad to hear he's coming back. It's not as fun to play Pittsburgh without him.

I am so pumped for this game. I'm also pretty nervous but I will still enjoy this game win or lose like I have all year. It's been a great season. I'm not ready to stop watching baseball just yet so hopefully the Tigers cam pull a win out here somehow and force a game 7. Scherzer has got to keep the ball down or else the Rangers are going to smack him all over that park. If he does that, our hitters will put up their share of runs. Let's do this.
