Lot of bitching about a lack of response to the Howard scuffle at the end there. Overall I think this game was a perfect example of why the Wings DON'T need another tough guy. They matched the Blues toughness PERFECTLY - the only difference was the Blues took stupid penalties and the Wings didn't. The final scuffle was fine by me. I don't mind seeing Howard stand up for himself - everyone else was tied up anyways. Anyways, it was a really fun game to watch. I was impressed with the effort tonight.

I won't feel sorry for the guy until this concussion affects how he will live his life from now on. As of right now, he is rolling in dough and able to afford trips to every single doctor that could help him with this scenario. One which if he gets over will allow him to make millions upon millions of dollars to add on to the millions upon millions of dollars he already has. Sure it might suck, but he can help the pain with his adoration of Pittsburgh fans, Stanley Cup ring, and massive paycheck coming in every week.

Honestly, no. The PP did it's job, but the Wings didn't back down. They could've phoned it in like they've done countless times before, but they stood up and hit St Louis in the mouth everytime they had too and won the game.
