The idea of Petry himself is fine, but I'm not sure he fits this team unless someone else goes with Kindl. The whole point of moving Kindl at this point is to make room for XO. Outside of Kindl, I don't really have a legitimate gripe about how anyone on the defense has played. If it ain't broke... -

To be fair the 2005-2006 team has been blowing it in playoffs every year since 2002. When Bowman retired, we had a series of great teams and early exit stinkers year after year. It is when we finally got Babs things started to turn things back around for the better. We got lucky. The best coach in the business wanted to come here. Lets just hope he wants to stay. Because once he leaves, there isn't another Babcock to take his place. -

Yeah I agree, No way I'm trading Smith at this point. Eberle is one of my favorite players but as a team that may lack a superstar Dman in the future, Smith has all the tools to be that. Plus we have a glut of forwards already. Smith has easily been our most improved player so far, and is our only defenceman next to Kronwall who is any sort of an offensive threat. -
